'Sounds' very good ! Sorry, I do not read every post. Looking forward to Repro-5, for the sounds, and the browser functionality. Will the Preset Browser be back-ported to existing products (especially the Linux versions) ?

Tschüß.

The search can be based on tags selections, authors, prestet name/description within the scope of the currently zoomed in folder, or a search can be based on the tags of the currently selected preset, and so on.

All of this without abandoning the current functionality, look and feel of the browser.
Fantastic.
With so many zebra banks for instance, it is hard for me to consistently find stuff.

Yes. In future you can double-click the bank folder and search only inside of that (and its subfolders, obviously).

It is however based on a major refactoring job. A lot of existing functionality is broken and needs to be adapted, such as preset < > buttons, module preset drop downs and so on.

Will the new Preset Browser be back-ported to existing synths ?

Will it play nice with the existing 'favorites' files ?

Urs, I just wonder how you've got any f**king time to work on the actual synth and answer all these whiners all at the same time? Are you a wizard? I mean, THE WIZARD? Confess!

IIRC they'll become the yellow ones.

Asking pointless questions doesnt help.

Will the new browser also support user defined preset path?

That's a given for all u-he plugins, you can already place your presets anywhere you want and link to that folder via a shortcut.

Really?
So you mean I just have to add a shortcut/alias in the original user preset folder, that points to the other path?

Nevertheless I'd like to see a "native" user friendly solution, like TAL (and other developers) implemented it. I hope they'll work on it.

Yes. Or you can move the whole .data folder wherever you want, then modify the shortcut next to the plugin to point to that location (it's what I do).

This is as native as it gets since it's native to the OS. :)
