[v11.00]
OK, what am I missing?
I loaded the 'Default' preset
(a) the Drive Multiparameter (MP) value is -10 dB; it controls Input Gain, but the Input Gain value is 0 dB. So when I increase Drive to, say, -8 dB the Input Gain drops to -8 dB.
(b) the Ceiling MP is -0.20 dB; it controls Ceiling, but that value is 0.00 dB
There are similar oddities in the Clipper preset.
Q: MLimiterX - Default preset

Hmmm, I just tried (in 11.01 though) and everything seems fine about (b). As for (a) it's intentional - the threshold is set to -10dB, but the limiter compensates it, so this is like a little trick, that makes it all feel "normal".

I can see some MMagic in the 'Maximiser' Active Preset:

The names given to the banks are 10 dB above the actual value of the controlled parameter (Input Gain).
But my post was about the 'Default' preset, loaded from the Preset Browser. This is what I get (with the controlled parameters and their Mulyiparameters circled):

And as soon as I adjust the 'Drive' Multiparameter the controlled parameter (Input Gain) jumps down to be the same value as 'Drive'.
I still haven't got it
