hej people,

lateley I am having an eye on the quneo device which seems kind of attractive BUT there is not much to find in the bitwig world...there seems to be one script (which -as i understand from what i´ve read seems kind of limited)...so i started this topic to ask if someone here maybe has some experiences.

maybe i should note that my current setup is a 49 keys keyboard, a nanokontrol 2 and an apc mini...GREAT combination...but with the large keyboard i miss the portability and with the apc mini the touch sensitivity and i just found out that the used quneos are pretty affordable...i just don`t know if it is "worth" being purchased for bitwig since i have no idea of scripting...in the forums here i read of a user reporting nothing but troubles and somewhere else i read that it would be of most use if you know scripting - but is that really all or is the quneo editor and the mapping inside of bitwig "powerful" (step-sequencer, moving around in the samples, using each four corners of each pad etc.) enough to get the most out of it OR are there even any other (hidden  ) scripts around???...any ideas? thank you :)

There are two scripts actually, the official one, and this:https://github.com/dreieier/e3_quneo
But when I tried to use it, I could not install it inside Bitwig, so can't say about that one. I didn't have the installation instructions that are on Github I see, so I might try it again, it seems more advanced than the stock one.

At least the official one does not allow for a 8x8 grid, it's just 4x4, which is a shame. I've been meaning to email about this to the creator, he's from Keith McMillen IIRC.

I really don't use my Quneo with Bitwig. There is not step sequencer with the script, I'm not sure what you mean about the samples...

I'd say that even though I don't use one, a Push 1 used is a much better choice. Of course the Quneo is ultraportable and seems to be indestructible, which is kind of the point :)

You can of course use it just as a normal mappable MIDI controller, the way I use it, but then you lose all the advaced stuff. But that was good enough for me in the few lives I used it.
