MUX Synth VST 7.4.8 is loading in Reason 9.5 (!) but crashing the program when removing it.

Reason 9.5
Mac 10.8.5

I still have only seen the MUX load in Reaper64 and now Reason 9. Still crashing Studio One 2/3 on startup scan.

Thx for your feedback on this. I'm unable to investigate issues on each separate MacOS version which might be issues of MacOS itself too. So i'll evaluate updating the system requirements so it will be at least Sierra.

Hermu pls send me the crash report of MUX 7.4 crashing in Studio One 3.5 on MacOS Sierra. Thx.

Hi Jo,

there is no problem with MUX 7.4.8 and Studio One 3.5 on MacOS Sierra!
today i've checked and found 2 VST3 plugins which crashes StudioOne 3.5 (The Grand 3.vst3 and DrumMax.vst3)

after i have removed these 2 VST3 plugins and now i can use Studio One 3.5 with MUX 7.4.8

Does that mean Mulab as well? That would be sad. Apple will not even let me update to Sierra if I wanted to with this 8-core beast.

There are many plugins and apps in my collection which run from 10.6 all the way to 10.11. So it's painful to read "issues with MacOS itself". I don't think testing each MacOS version would be necessary. If it works in 10.7 I've come to expect it to run in 10.11. (I think I would pick 10.8 and current)

Anyways, I hope you opt for "not officially supported" rather than "won't install" solutions.

You see, lots of MacOS version issues!

If i can't repeat a crash in the dev setup it's difficult to analyse & fix.

I have other experiences with MacOS. Every main version has serious differences in behavior of existing sub-systems, very eratic. It's sad having to say this.
Anyways, I hope you opt for "not officially supported" rather than "won't install" solutions.
Indeed, rather "not officially supported". But i'll first give it some more time & thought.

I see your points. Thanks for listening.

MuLab M7.4.10 available in http://www.mutools.com/galaxa

What's changed: To avoid confusion the module slot plugin list now is similar to the rack slots ie. unfiltered.

How to install:

Windows: Put the new .exe/.dll and .id files into the M7.4 installation folder.
MacOS: Put the new .app/.vst files into the M7.4 installation folder.

If you're using the VST version don't forget there's two versions, one for effect chains (MUX.dll) and one for synths/instrument chains (MUX (Vst Synth).dll)

No, mcbpete, I use MuLab and there is only one.
But :)
Thank you, mutools, for quick acting! That's one of the things I love with this great DAW. Solved!

If I've understood it right, two things have changed -- the default configuration now has one input and one output each of audio, event and modulation, in addition to not filtering the offered slot content by whether it matches that configuration.

You can still right-click the slot: Image then edit the config: Image

That lets you work with more complex situations than a rack slot normally allows but still lets you plug anything in (even if it won't work because the inputs / outputs aren't available).
