Also, when I contacted plugin-allliance about me not receiving coupons for a while and that they were low, they mentioned to me that $50 coupons are given once you spend enough with them. So there is a threshold they have designated.
Now I always buy during sales, so even though I have probably 60-65% of their plugins now, I guess I was able to get them all so cheap that my 'total spend' as they call it is still not surpassing the threshold to receive $50 coupons yet.
For me it's both a positive and a negative. It shows that I've been a smart shopper, but that having saved, it will take a bit longer to get the bigger coupons...
Hope that helps.
PS Also, their customer service rocks! They always get back to me and politely. Also they added me to the coupons list thereafter and apologized and gave me a nice 'apology' coupon code that time which I was able to use to get something awesome right away with it. THAT"S how you build loyalty.
Other companies who also did right by me are Focusrite, Novation and Eventide. All have been stellar to me. They've earned my loyalty with fantastic products and fantastic responses. Thank you guys!

The normal full version of Komplete 11 is 599 €. The update to Komplete 11 from any version starting from Komplete 2 when on sale (as currently) is 99,50 €. So you'd get the full Komplete 11 for 150 € if you get his Komplete 7 for $50 (I'm neglecting the exchange rate, but this shouldn't make too much of a difference). Sounds like a good deal to me. In fact, I would buy it for $50 just to have an additional license for Vienna Ensemble Pro - I'm pretty sure their licensing doesn't allow a single Komplete license to be run on multiple computers with different hardware.Rational wrote:So I've got a friend offering me NI Komplete 7 for $50. Worth getting? (Comes with box, DVDs and serial number on manual)
I already own K9U and am about to upgrade it to K11U this month during the sale.
But was wondering if having this K7 serial would be of benefit for upgrading for others if I should sell it, etc. Or just to have more licenses for additional PCs kinda thing. Thoughts?

Just tried to update my Komplete 10 Ultimate to K11 Ultimate in the NI webshop. Pretty much the second I ticked the 'no refunds on downloads' box and submitted my order I realised I had bought a K11 Update, NOT the K11Ultimate update
Have put a message in to NI's support to see if they can amend this and charge me the difference. Here's hoping.

Do you still get a $25 voucher/coupon from NI if you buy a $99 Komplete update? And if so, is there a spend minimum for that?
HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING, perhaps I could get the update for $99 (cough $94 at JRR), get a $25 voucher/coupon and pick up Replika XT for free?

Thanks so much. I noticed my update says from 8-10. Are you sure I can update 7 with no problem at that low price during the sale? Or has it changed to 8+ since you last checked. Thanks. For now I've told him I'll buy it. Hope NI hasn't changed the policy and 7 no longer qualifies. But thanks again for the ideas.bnz wrote:The normal full version of Komplete 11 is 599 €. Edit: And as far as I can tell NI is free for license transfers? Anyone know if I transfer it to myself and then decide to sell it if they won't approve that?

UAD is having their half-yearly sale. Are there any "must-haves" that are on sale?
Same thing with Softube and their sale. Anything to buy that is a "must-have"? I finally have a couple dollars in my pocket that are burning a hole...
Thanks,
Jim

and yes, NI's license transfer is free. However, you can't use the automated license transfer system within 60 days from the last transfer. You could still sell it within that 60 days, but you would have to contact support to do that manually.

Komplete 11 Update:
This update only works for users of KOMPLETE 2-10.
You won't be able to install and activate this version unless you own one of the required products listed above!
You probably were looking in the Komplete 11 Ultimate section. If you want to go to Komplete 11 Ultimate from Komplete 7, you have to go through the Komplete 11 update first as far as I understand it. So Komplete 11 Ultimate would be roughly 150 € + 299,50 € so about 450 € with the current sale. Thats still a pretty nice deal in my opinion given that you normally can't get the full version of Komplete 11 Ultimate for 50% by itself - at least as far as I know. I don't know anything about the transfers.

What do you think K11U is worth as a transfer to purchase? I'm sitting on their Komplete 10 Ultimate license and, while I think it's a fantastic bundle, I hardly use it. I may be willing to part with it, depending on the worth. Right now my K10U license gets the new owner a transfer bundle price to K11U for $199.

Here is what my logic in a buying decision would be. Here are a few scenarios to get Ultimate 11:Bobbyduracel wrote:What do you think K11U is worth as a transfer to purchase? Right now my K10U license gets the new owner a transfer bundle price to K11U for $199.
1) Get the full version of the regular version of Komplete 11 with or without a discount and then wait for for the 50% upgrade sale. The regular version of Komplete is 599 €. I have seen coupon codes for 100 €, so with a little luck you get it for 499 €. The upgrade is 299,50 € on sale. So if you're willing to wait for the 50% upgrade sale, you can get it between 800 € and 900 €. That's without going through the hassle of buying a used version and the possible risk associated with it.
2) You get a second-hand version of Komplete smaller than 8. This needs the update to Komplete 11 in order to quality for an upgrade to Ultimate 11 which costs 99,50 € on sale (only the update). The upgrade to Ultimate 11 then is 299,50 €, so you'll pay 400 € to get to your target version Komplete 11 Ultimate. Given the calculation of 1), really any price smaller than 400 € is ok for that used version, but not above that. As you have seen above, people give the old versions away for bargain prices if you are lucky. I would consider 200 € a reasonable deal for a used Komplete version smaller than 8 (you can then get Ultimate 11 for 600 €), but less is better obviously.
3) If you get a second-hand version Komplete Ultimate greater or equals 8, you pay 299,50 € for the upgrade to Ultimate 11. With the logic from 2), I wouldn't pay more than 300 € for that.
As that is still not answering your exact question: to get Ultimate 11, the range is something like 450 € (as the poster above) to 900 € depending on how clever you buy and and much luck you have in finding a second-hand version of Komplete for cheap. If you go for something like 600 €, you'll probably hit a spot where people probably are too lazy to look for cheap second-hand versions. Obviously, you can always try to start higher as some people may not be aware of the sale situation.
At least that's how I would go for it.

I just got an email from Tone2 saying they are having a 40 percent off sale on Icarus, Elektra, Gladiator, and Nemesis. I'm wondering if Jrr Shop or Best Service will be getting in on this. Their prices are consistently lower than Tone2, for some reason, AND they never charge sales tax! Uncle E?

I'm not subscribed to the Tone2 newsletter, is that going live soon? It doesn't seem to be up currently. Or is it a special code kind of thing?W23 wrote:I just got an email from Tone2 saying they are having a 40 percent off sale on Icarus, Elektra, Gladiator, and Nemesis.
