Seeing discoDSP and Linplug go and earlier Camel is a bit sad. I hope u-he never closes shop, or get's bought by Apple. U-he are the best. Thanks U-he.

Just thinking...if I were Native Instruments or Steinberg or MagiX I would try and buy u-He out. Or even Propellerheads or Softube....or even the Americans - iZotope or ProTools or....

I bet Urs has had offers.

And as the saying goes: everyone has their price...so hmm.

The first one of those companies to grab U-he will get a huge competitive advantage...if they know how to incorporate U-he products into their product lines...or even if they don't. Even just to keep U-he out of the hands of any of the others.

Just saying...I personally hope this doesn't ever happen.

Let me dream.
Of course as an egoist i like Apple to buy every company.....well, at least until i want to change my prefered OS.
But really i still want an U-he iOS app. You can sell a billions of it.
Maybe start with your free plug-ins and see if there is a market.
I bet my ass in some years it is a way bigger market than some would expect yet.
It also open things behind the dinosaur desktop workflow/GUI.

If Urs did sell U-he he could retire to the Bahamas, or Antigua, or Barbados. Urs wouldn't you prefer to be relaxing on a warm sandy beach getting a golden tan with unlimited Piña colada's served to you rather than sweating over DSP code in cold Berlin?

Urs would have to answer that for himself, but I far prefer creative endeavor to sitting on a beach all day. Sitting on the beach would quickly become boring.

As a Z2 owner, can I get TDZ+Z3 for the price of TDZ when Z3 is out, or until when do I have to get TDZ if not?

Well as far as I understand you can indeed get TDZ and Z3 for the price of TDZ if you have Z2 (that's why I got tdz, in addition for tdz being incrdibly great), but you have to do it before Z3 is out. At least that's what I read in this topic.
The release date of Z3 is TBD...
