Constant PC crashes since upgrading to Sylenth 3 on Windows 7 64bit and Ableton live 9 Suite 64bit.

Hi,

I have been trying to get to the bottom of the crashes that are happening with Sylenth 64bit since upgrading to V3 with no joy.

I have done all the usual in upgrading all drivers to the latest for Soundcard 64bit driver, Graphics Card, BIOS, etc. None of which helped.

I read about issues with Anit-Virus and have completely removed it and all registry entries for that but it still crashes.

When it crashes the whole PC just reboots with no error or Blue Screen. It didn't happen with the old version of Sylenth. If I replace Sylenth with a different VST plugin the same set does not crash.

I have tried treating it like an Ableton issue before that limiting processors assigned to the application but this didn't fix the issue.

Generally when I am using Sylenth I load it into an Instrument rack and macro map the big Cutoff, and Res to the first two Macros.

In terms of Midi controllers I am using the Push 2 primarily which is updated to the latest firmware and running the latest version of Ableton. I receive constant updates from all manufacturers on new versions of firmware for everything I have.

I have tried 3 different Sound cards and none have made any difference.
I have also set the RAM timings manually as per the manufacturers specifications in the BIOS which was recommended when I contacted them.

Here are my specs:
AMD Bulldozer 8x4.0GHz
G.Skill Ripjaws 32GB
AMD Radeon 6700 1GB - (Upgrading this weekend to RX580 8 GB graphics card)

Sound Cards tried in single configuration:
AVID Eleven Rack 64bit ASIO w. latest FW
Vestax VCI 380 64bit ASIO w. latest FW
Roland TR-8 64bit ASIO w. latest FW
Roland MX-1 64bit ASIO w. latest FW

Really need assistance with this as I use this Synth on a lot of projects.

To note that I don't get crashes on any other plugins (All 64bit, and there is a lot)

I did get the odd BSOD using Sylenth 2, but these crashes just cause the PC to reboot without any message at all.

Most likely you're not using the latest version of Sylenth1 and/or you have multiple different versions of Sylenth1 installed in your VST folders.

To fix it, uninstall Sylenth1, search all your VST folders for any leftover files or folders named Sylenth1 and delete everything. Start up your host to make sure it's really gone. Then close it again, download the latest full version of Sylenth1 (v3.032) from the links in your license email and install it.

Install ONLY the 64 bit version if you’re using a 64bit host program.
Install ONLY the 32 bit version if you’re using a 32bit host program.
Do not install BOTH the 32 and 64bit versions at the same time.

Then do a full rescan of all plug-ins in Live's preferences.
Start Sylenth1, then click MENU -> About to check that you are actually running the 64-bit v3.032 version.

Also, Sylenth1 cannot cause BSOD's, usually this happens when there's a problem with your hardware, like a bad RAM dimm or a problem with your drivers.
