[EDIT] Problem solved: disable "Use Realtime Priority"!
Anybody else have trouble with recent versions of ST2 under T? See below for specifics. I just got the SonicReality StudioDrums Capsule and ST2LE today, I thought I was headed for drum Nirvana. Needless to say, big disappointment! I had downloaded and run ST2 Free, prior to placing the order, so I figured it would Just Work.
ST2LE runs fine under energyXT. Don't have a clue what the problem could be under T. Anyone?
Tracktion 1.6.0.1 (same behavior on 1.5.1.16)
ST2LE 2.0.7
Double click a sound to load it,
system freezes!
Mouse cursor frozen, keyboard unresponsive.
Requires hard reset (power cycle) to recover.
Machine specs
(Note: this system runs flawlessly, never have ANY problems, I keep it clean & tuned for T!)
HP Pavilion zv5160us laptop
XP Home 2002 w/SP1 & all critical updates
P4 2.8GHz, 1GB PC2700
Page file disabled.
556MB free at time of freeze.
Sampletank 2 LE freezes system

Other than a small batch of presets that don't work correctly, ST2le works ok in Tracktion for me.
No crashes or freezes playing back all 16 parts.
Trying re-enabling your pagefile and see if that changes anything?

Apart from the known issues with a few presets ST2LE works fine with Tracktion for me.
Even with these presets it did not crash or freeze, there was simply a popup about Sampletank causing an internal error.
Quitting this with "Ok" turned everything back to normal again.

Tried reenabling the pagefile, no joy.
Checked T settings, saw that realtime priority mode was enabled. Disabled that, problem went away.
You know what it probably was....I must have gone to bed and left the computer on one night this past week, and those dirty little gnomes must have sneaked in while I sleeping, and enabled that setting....those rotten little conniving bastards!

Same problem here with ST2 and ST1 demo.

Problem solved thanks to bithead.
My trouble was because "Use Realtime Priority" was enabled. Disabled it, no more problem.
