Sounds logical, will test that. The manual says that switching to audiorate affects all modulation sources.

Is not quite clear though if this refers only to modmatrix assignments or hardwired modulations too, in Dune2 one envelope is hardwired to amp and another one - to filter, so it may or may not make sense to override the respective pre-assigments by manually assigning the envelopes to the same targets via the matrix in order to have the benefits of the ARM (it just stroke me that this is where this mysterious "envelope bang" may hide).

This is Dune2 when using oscillator as modulator. This can only be done at high audio modulation rates.

Look, all I can tell you is that before my ssd I had troubles playing pads in Bazille, after the ssd I could play the same pads. Try it, you'll like it. Enjoy your drink, or what ever gets you kids off these days.

Alright look. What these guys are getting at is through put has a limit. What probably happened is that my old school mac had a spinner that was less then through put and the ssd gave me through put capacity, but I'm drunk on tequila and eating ribs on the BBQ and I don't play with Richards. So there you go. Enjoy your night.

None of the requests EnGee asks for strikes me as particulary demanding to implement. 4 FM is pretty standard, 2 Filters in series should be ok if you can do 8 in parallel, as Dune does right now, and the rest is UI. This also are quite sensible suggestions.

Another thing about Dune 2, I was really suprised by a free soundset found here:



I would not have thought that Dune 2 can sound like this - that is, raw and squelchy. Acid is not my favourite thing, but I suspect that Dune 2 has a lot more tricks in its sleeve if it can do that.

I really wish that Dune had a more immediate access to modulations, like e.g. Serum or Avenger, modulating things feels like doing spreadsheet calculations. Otherwise, Dune 2 would get far more use, as it is so low on ressources and can do all the essentials.
