Once the loop is sliced, you should be able to instantly PLAY ANY SLICE via MIDI KEYBOARD (starting at C1 for 16 notes) or perhaps even from the PC KEYBOARD (mapped near the default qwerty key layout that both hands have to get you all 16 slices within reach).
Now, imagine this: once the groove is sliced you can INSTANTLY START GROOVING with it via these REAL TIME CONTROLS NOW, and when you get something you like under your FINGERS, there should be a RECORD BUTTON that let's you step record your pattern into the slice sequencer.
