Hi.
I want to buy Zebra 2, so I tried the demo, but it makes no sound at all. In order to audition the existing patches, I followed the Quick And Easy Tutorial found in the user guide, but using MIDI notes as I don´t have a keyboard controller (and MIDI writing is my way of working anyway). If I use another virtual instrument in the same "instrument track" it generates sound, normally; but Zebra2 don´t.
If I use those two plugins in series (an Avid virtual instrument in the first slot, and Zebra in the second), I even hear the sounds of the first plugin being processed by the reverb section of the Zebra (just its reverb, not its synthesis). But if I only use Zebra, it generates no sound at all.
I´m using:
DAW: Pro Tools 10.3.6
Computer: Mac OS X 10.7.5 (27" iMac , Mid 2011, 3.1 Ghz Intel Core i5, 20GB RAM)
External Hard Drive: Mercury Elite Pro
Zebra format: I made the "default installation" (it DID installed AAX, but did NOT installed RTAS)
Any help will be appreciated, as I really want to buy and use this plugin.

There's a Zebra instrument and an effect version when you install Zebra, so you should find both in your plugin list. Sounds to me like you're using the effect instead of the instrument?

When I try to load a plugin, it appears (within the drop-down menu) 4 options under a category named "u-he", they are: Zebra2, Zebralette, Zebrify and Zrev. I´m choosing Zebra2. I don´t see any distinction between versions, nothing along the lines of "Zebra 2-Instrument" or "Zebra2-Effect". It simply appears as "Zebra2", and that´s the one I´m trying to use (It looks like the instrument version you are mentioning, as the user interface has all the pertinent sections: Perform, Synthesis, Patches, Global, Osc 1, 2, 3, etc..)
