As noted within README_-_Windows_users.pdf, you need to Enable all Network Adapters on your PC in order for our licenser to work.

Interesting. Their site indicates that this is a Windows 7 problem. Seems to be easy to fix though (just enable, activate, and disable again).

It's not that easy. My second ethernet port is enabled, just unplugged. The other adapter is a software driver adapter that is only valid for ethernet bridging with certain VirtualBox machines, and, when active, kills my internet connection. It's also enabled, just "disconnected."mgw38 wrote:Interesting. Their site indicates that this is a Windows 7 problem. Seems to be easy to fix though (just enable, activate, and disable again).

Yes, I could connect the second ethernet port to something, probably just a hub, and I could delete the software port. That's a pain for me, however, and, moreover, that's not the point. The point is that this is annoying and flakey and a giant red flag for "we're a pain in the ass to deal with as a company."
Like I said, if I still feel like it, I'll install it later on one of my macs. I've got my serial, I don't care.
Still though....
NO MONEY FOR YOU!

Yep, I'm pretty sure that's it, and it's worthy of criticism. If you want to do C/R like that, expect the public bashing.Gamma-UT wrote:Ah, OK. That's a bit daft - shades of the old IK system there, which ate people's authorisations every time the network adapter got switched off. I'm having trouble working out why their copy-protection provider (TurboActivate?) is so exercised about network adapters on Windows when it's clearly not an issue on a Mac, unless this is some quirk of getting a consistent machine ID out of a Windows box that doesn't crop up on a Mac.ghettosynth wrote:Yes, it's not a bug, it's a Windows feature! Yeah, you're right, I'm not going to do that, I don't care that much. I'll install it later, after the promotion, on one of my macs. In the meantime, I will spend the promotion period complaining about their annoying C/R choices.EDIT: You're probably not going to want to do this, but I did turn this up in a search out of curiosity in case someone runs into the same problem and wants to get it running (assuming this still works): https://wyday.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=27087

Cool. Thanks. Just had a quick play with it. It's a useful tool. Keeper.echopark wrote:regroover essential free until 22.June

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Yes, once, years ago before I stopped buying anything from them that wasn't either hardware or in Komplete. I used mine to buy the Mouth, and TBH, I'd just as soon have the other $35 or so back.dangayle wrote:Has anyone ever been able to actually use a Native Instruments voucher? I have one now, I probably will use it to get a new adapter for my S4, I think that's allowed, we'll find out.

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I bought it via smart phone at work. I'll let you know. I understand that it is quite good. Maybe not a Serum or an Icarus but, good!systmu wrote:How is that? Worth the $22?
