Jo, have you also get in mind just add ARA interface to use good melodyne ?
the melodyne for 99$ is able to do timestretch and pitchshift
is use of elastique too expensive ?. reaper cost 59$ and have elastique 3 in.
but program a own good timestretch is maybe not so hard, when use transient markers. every time a transient is marked the first 30 ms or a changeable value is not stretch.

http://www.celemony.com/en/service1/abo ... heckLang=1ARA is supported by all editions of Melodyne 4 and is continually being further developed. The latest version, Melodyne 4.1, for example, extends the possibilities regarding the simultaneous editing of multiple tracks and simplifies comping in the DAW in important respects. On the DAW side, ARA is currently supported by Presonus Studio One, Cakewalk Sonar, Magix Samplitude Pro, Acoustica Mixcraft and Tracktion. Another plug-in that employs ARA is Vocalign from Synchro Arts.

This is open source, and could be handy for you:

Tempo (time stretch): Changes the sound to play at faster or slower tempo than originally without affecting the sound pitch.
Pitch (key) : Changes the sound pitch or key while keeping the original tempo (speed).
Playback Rate : Changes both tempo and pitch together as if a vinyl disc was played at different RPM rate.

Thx, i already checked that out months ago and it was not selected. Anyway, the core time-stretching algorithm is already ready for some time, I'm currently working on the practical workflow in the composer.

this sound not good. try out with elastique 3(can do in reaper demo), the 50% speed reduce sound lots better. I think the trick elastique do is try to detect transients and it do not stretch some ms when it detect transient. because when slow down, it is possible that you can hear early reflections in drums in such a ready mix song. this is not wrong algorithm that it then sound as double hits. avoid to stretch some ms in transient, avoid this problem.alex921 wrote:This is open source, and could be handy for you:

when you look at steinberg groove agent time stretch you can notice that no double hits happen when a base drum is at beginning. but double hit sound happen when base drum is somewhere in the middle. this show, that it is important for good timestretch to not stretch some ms of tranients.groove agent do the simple trick to time stretch only after few ms on beginning.

I think it is usefull when have the timestretch in MUX sampler and slicer too and the sampler maybe can support to load sfz sounds. there are many, also some good orchestral sounds for sfz is here. there are also sf2 to sfz converter, so lots sounds can use when there is a sfz loader
