Hi - I'm having a hard time making the preset selector "stay", and I'm wondering if I just don't know how to assign them correctly.

Once I have a nice configuration, I've been hitting the little "copy" button, click-selecting the desired A-H letter, and then hitting the little "paste" button.

Is that the right way to do it?

Thank you!

That is one of the ways i use it yes.

I think of it this way.

The 8 A..H slots are buckets, each able to contain all the plug-in parameter values. The current parameter values and any changes are saved in the currently-selected A..H slot. So I can select, say, D change some parameters and they will be saved in D. I can then switch to F make some other changes and they will be saved there. I can then select D again, click the Copy button, select A and click Paste. The settings in D will be copied into A.

NB: The A|B comparison button switches between the last two selected slots (not necessarily A and B) . In my example it would switch between A and D.

The parameter values in all 8 A-H slots are saved when you save the host project.

Thank you DarkStar and jmg8!

What I was missing is that, if I understand correctly, overwriting of the stored state occurs automatically.

So in your example if I had a state I like stored in "D", then made changes before switching to "F", then "D" would get overwritten. (I was erroneously thinking "D" would be safe until I actively told the plug-in to store something again).

If I didn't get that correctly, please let me know ... :)

Thanks!

Correct - any changes to the parameters are immediately stored in the currently-select A...H slot. So if you like D, copy it to another slot then make the changes there.
