My idea : VST-support removed version of MuLab like Studio One Artist

Hi. I'm a Mux 5 user, hobby musician.
How about making VST support-removed version of MuLab at a somewhat lowered price? This is just a suggestion so don't be offensive. I know that MuLab is already affordable.
I have Studio One 2 Producer which supports VST2, VST3. But nowadays I'm getting interested in Studio One 2 Artist or Studio One 3 Prime which does not support 3rd party VST plugins. The DAW environments which enforce me to use only the included effects and limited number of instruments would seem very limited and annoying at first, but I feel that those limitations give me funs and motivations which makes me creative.
for poor bundled reverb.. I applied compressor and chorus after the thin sounding 'Room Reverb'. It was successful to some extent, sounding good. I layered 100% Wet bounced signal of MuVerb for vocal as another track (it is like reverb as a insert for vocal or lead)
I made a sf2 format file for supersaw lead and imported it from Presence sampler of Studio One 3 Prime and it worked right. It was fun!
Reverb was not convincing, so I used delay as possible instead of reverb or used delay+reverb combination.
Think of the environments from which users should use MuLab as a DAW and only Mux as instruments and effects. Mux already has wide range of colorful sounds. If it is not enough, users can load samples of drum shots or instruments into MuDrum, MuSampla, MuPad, .. It will be amusing.

Like you said, Mulab is cheap enough as it is and you always have the choice not to use VST's anyway so I dont see what is to be gained, just my opinion of course.

I also agree. MuLab and Mux is wonderful and it's good to support the developer. But on the other hand, I think that it's good idea to have a choice of intermediate version of MuLab like 'MuLab XT'.
This is just a suggestion so I don't want to make a possible debate. I am going to buy full version of MuLab as possible in near future.

Thx for the suggestions. There are similar ideas on the wishlist but nothing decided yet. An extra version in between MuLab Free and MuLab UL is rather unlikely unless MuLab UL would come at a higher price, which is also something to be evaluated.

For me evrything is fine as it is. Cause of the very capable Free version and the moderate price for the UL (very different from studio one !) an intermediate version would make no sense to me.
On the other hand I must say compared to the competitors I see (Tracktion/Waveform with comparable concept -racks- in some points and comparable price first) a higher price for the UL would really scare me.
I use Mulab as easy, FAST for sketching, trying out new plugs etc. daw and waveform for complete tracks cause for me it is just that small point easier for that (I am more the preset then the "I tinker myself a new rack" type) and - nothing against the included instruments in mulab - and biotek and collection or master mix as vst just on another level.
Just my two cents

The moment they cut VST support in Studio One 3 Artist, it became completely uninteresting for me. VST support is an absolute MUST for me, in any host (maybe except self-including hosts like Reason), so, if a host doesn't support it, and i also mean cheaper versions, it's a no-go, and also not a good representation of the more expensive versions for me.

Propellerheads have eventually succumbed to adding vst suport to Reason, why go the other way with MuLab? Especially as Reason elements could be seen as a vst hosting alternative to MuLab.

Well, MUX is great, but not really helpful, when it comes to orchestral music.
And working with different DAWs on the same song is impossible, when you have to use different instruments/sounds on each.
I really love MuLab with its ease of use and powerful routing possibilities and use some sounds of MUX. But VSTi's are indispensable for me ...
