You know that the 64-bit version of Kontakt works perfectly well when bridged into a 32-bit host, right?tatanka wrote:Run my kontakt libs in waveform 32 bit![]()
Which bit of 'if 32-bit plugins are that pivotal to your workflow' didnt you understand, though? Or were you just really dumb, and went and installed the 64-bit version of Waveform and all your plugins, despite the fact your 32-bit plugins were the most important ones?

I named kontakt cause of RAM use, so a 32 bit version is absolutely useless for me (thats why I changed to 64 bit version). Dont know why my simple expression of opinion with me liking to have an internal solution in waveform (and I explicitely said that is has NOT No. 1 on the priority list) is such a problem for you that you have to start calling names....

It isnt a problem for me at all, so why are you making stuff up?tatanka wrote: Dont know why my simple expression of opinion with me liking to have an internal solution in waveform (and I explicitely said that is has NOT No. 1 on the priority list) is such a problem for you
I didnt call you any names, I said that it'd be a really dumb thing to do to ignore an allegedly pivotal concern for something not pivotal.that you have to start calling names....
Are you one of these disingenuous types who insists that 'that thing you did was stupid' is equivalent to 'you are stupid' or something?

Ah, I see. Your answer to the question 'were you really dumb and did X' is implicitly 'yes I did X', so that's me calling you dumb. Okay.tatanka wrote:Or were you just really dumbI am leaving here to follow my TAO, you will have to follow yours if you like it or not.....said that it'd be a really dumb thing to do

Stop trying to take the high ground. You were being condescending and it was totally uncalled for.whyterabbyt wrote:Ah, I see. Your answer to the question 'were you really dumb and did X' is implicitly 'yes I did X', so that's me calling you dumb. Okay.

Doesn't agree with the request for a feature so decides to insult other users. Typical keyboard warrior - appears to exist on forums just to create discord.

Totally uncalled for? After a response like this to a perfectly straighforward post? Yeah right, Im convinced. Clearly your so much better at high ground than me.fromwithin wrote:Stop trying to take the high ground. You were being condescending and it was totally uncalled for.whyterabbyt wrote:Ah, I see. No I didn't say that. If you need bridging, I was just pointing out some other DAWs that have it now.profwesson wrote:So your solution amounts to 'tough shit, go elsewhere'?zzz00m wrote:Both of these can be installed as 64-bit programs and bridge 32-bit plugins.tonedef71 wrote:It is far more convenient to be able to run both 32-bit and 64-bit plug-ins simultaneously in the same 64-bit DAW; especially when you want to use various VSTi synth plugins simultaneously together in the same project, but unfortunately some of them are either solely 32-bit (e.g. any SynthEdit VSTi) and some are solely 64-bit only (e.g. UVI Falcon). Having a built-in bridge in the DAW would manage this issue most conveniently and effectively.
jBridge works with Waveform, however I don't use it. Supports up to VST 2.4 on Windows or Mac.
Waveform also comes with 32 and 64 bit versions.
Bottom line is whenever somebody enters a product forum, and asks why doesn't this product have a feature that product "xyz" has, you have to get in line with all the other feature requests.
This one is not likely to ever be a high priority for TSC.
Waveform is not my primary DAW, but I think it is refreshingly different from the other DAWs I use. I hope it stays that way!!!

^^^ Best suggestion!!!whyterabbyt wrote:There's only something like 3 plugins which are 64-bit only, so if 32-bit plugins are that pivotal to your workflow, use the 32-bit version of Waveform(*).
Or if not, just use jbridge, it works perfectly well within Waveform. Most issues with it are the fault of the plugin, most particularly ancient SynthEdit creations. Plus jbridge's existence saves TSC from having to invest a considerable amount of time and effort in replicating the exact same bridging process and functionality anyway, without the benefit of several years of bug-testing and refinement.
(* And if you really need those three plugins then use jbridge to run them inside the 32-bit version of Waveform. )

That is fair comment. I do use jbridge, but I guess I just like the way it works in Reaper where I can just select a 32 bit plugin without having to go through jbridge. I do generally find Waveform (and before that Tracktion) a little more intuitive to work with.
