I have a Zero SLMkII. I used it a while back before waveform and it seemed to work great. Not sure when it stopped working, or why, or what I may have done, but I can't get it to work anymore. It doesn't seem to fully communicate with Tracktion/Waverform.
The hardware is working. In the Automap software view, I can see the automap server recognizes when I activate controls, and I know that it is working with Reaper in HUI mode. Notably, the software layer doesn't display any parameter data from Tracktion. So I can't select a Tracktion parameter to control.
Does anyone have it working? Anything that I could be missing? Any suggestions on setup? I am wondering if Waveform could be at fault, but it seems to be the same in older versions of Tracktion that I used it with in the past.

OK, after several hours of testing... Automap seems to work fine in Tracktion 5.4, but it doesn't seem to work in Waveform. First problem is that I can't create templates in Waveform. No parameters are available for assignment.
Secondly, if I create a template in Tracktion 5 and run it in Waveform, the hardware display and indicators respond to changes within Waveform's GUI, but the hardware controllers won't affect changes to Waveform's parameters. Perhaps I am missing something, but I tried to set up Waveform as I had set up Tracktion, and I still can't get it to work, so I am convinced it's a Waveform bug (It may also be broken in T6 and 7 - Not sure).

After working on this for three days I found the solution...
RUN AUTOMAP IN ADMINISTRATION MODE
I found that bit of advice in a five year old post on an AVID Pro Tools forum. Everything instantly worked like a charm.
