I know it should be possible to use the USAMO hardware without using the vst plugin by configuring USAMO audio sample on an Audio track and running that signal out of a soundcard output into the USAMO hardware. But I don't know the proper format to do this. Would it be to record a 1 bar loop at various tempos (90, 128, 140 bpm) and Loop that in your DAW? Or is there a certain audio Pulse the hardware is expecting, say 24x per beat?
Reason being I have an MPC Live and do not want to eat up one of its 2 Midi ports simply for Midi Clock. Using one of its audio outputs to feed the USAMO hardware the proper audio signal would be best for my setup. The MPC Live in stand-alone mode does not run VSTs.

That's not how it works. It's not clear that you could actually use the USAMO in this way.
