Gotta love receiving a $75 voucher -- that still works on something already on sale.

THAT is why I buy from PA. Some others don't apply coupons to items already on sale. So I don't buy. Their loss. I forget who it was recently, but their coupon wouldn't apply because the item was already on sale. Lost sale for them.

Plugin Alliance have another sale and for the first time I got a $50 voucher, I suspect possibly due the VAT happenings.

But then again - you never know, there may be causal relation between the massive sale by the PA right now, and the recent incident. Anyway, I wellcome all the quality plugin offers, and this is the kind of move, much fruitful than just a dry "accountant letter".

Okay, a friend who always got $25 vouchers every month was given $50 this month despite not having bought any products in months (not even for free with the vouchers). So it's definitely been raised this month. Perhaps minimum voucher was set to $50 to compensate for the VAT fiasco.

I wish those dudes would update their plugins to be 64bit and not use crappy synthedit or whatever it is. I have demod the plugins and to be honest, they're pretty good. But I have expunged all 32bit plugins from my system so this is a no from me.

To me that is a bit like that lesson I got from the The Wire, if you product is not selling, change the name

News from march or so said that Plugin Alliance are supposed to release the new bx_console SSL E and G, this month (july). I want to use my $50 voucher for that. Has anyone heard any confirmed release date? Their facebook may have news but I have no facebook account.

Edit: may 27 article http://www.pro-tools-expert.com/home-pa ... g-plug-ins says "It is expected that bx_console SSL should be out in July and will be available in all Native formats, as well as AAX DSP and there will be upgrade deals for existing owners of the VXS console."

And the real Dirk (brainrox) in GS thread (https://www.gearslutz.com/board/new-pro ... strip.html) said "bx_console E will be out in July, and soon after that we´ll release updated bx_console N (the existing plugin), followed by the bx_console G release."

I hope they don't delay the release another month just because everyone got $50 vouchers this month.

Edit: looks like it will be out soon! On this friday, Dirk is flying to NYC to demo the bx_console E. After this weekend, they will prepare the launch which will take "a few more days". Indeed, in general many vendors have over the last two years set prices in €/$ at the same number, but it seems now Euro is strenghtening considerably in relation to USD.

I've ranted about it in the past, and I guess I'm done with that. But they're violating the boundary that we're supposed to have here.

Sub-heading for the Soundware topic is "For discussion and announcements of soundware - patches, presets, soundsets, soundbanks, loop libraries, construction kits, MIDI libraries, etc." All these ads should go there, not here, but I suppose they think this is how you maximize sales. All they're doing, as far as I can tell, is rotating items regularly through, so they can claim they're on sale.

It's spread from one and is increasing. Nothing personal against them, but it really junks up the Bargains topic.

It'll keep getting worse the longer it goes on.

Maybe if there was a way to set the "Maximum characters per post/message" in just the NO CHAT area, to limit the character count for sales it would make vendors be more frugal with with they say.
