I am stunned that some entitled twats barge into the "Bargain Center: DISCUSSION, GOSSIP" thread to demand that we stop discussing deals in it! Shut up and go to the OTHER "Bargain Center: NO DISCUSSIONS" thread instead. Yes, there IS such a thread too! THIS one is specifically FOR discussing the deals and rumors with each other.

I love the discussion in the "discussion" thread. It just seems so... right. Somehow appropriate in a way. Can't put my finger on why though... Hmmm.... Wonder why?

Still though, I'm glad to see the pettyness level lower of late. Discussion I love. Derision of each other I can do without. Derision of vendors sale prices though I think is always appropriate for bargain hunters like us who would lurk here looking for the best deals. Also seems to make the most sense...

I actually forgot I posted that until coming back just now... rather than reply to posts I'll just thank those that agree, but especially the poster recommending blocking.

With all due respect, maestro, I don't remember... probably colors? Is that another thread, too?

Plus, I don't use effects presets since I'm really good at making my own (same for synth presets... I work mostly with large format hardware modulars these days that can't really have presets other than patch annotations, recall sheets, etc.).

Try to make your own presets... it's fun and a good skill to have, even for a hobbyist.

Look, I don't begrudge these people selling their stuff, but the main bargain/deal thread should mainly be about users tipping other users to good deals, at least in spirit.

The spammy self-promoting stuff made me miss out on some deals that I otherwise would have noticed... also, it made me come here less often.

I asked for people to cool it with trying to make their posts stand out over others' (I was one of the main forces behind not having graphics or embedded sound and video, and continued to report those through times of not posting here).

It had the opposite effect... since I guess it hurt their little snowflakey feelings, like: "I'll show you and go longer, bolder, bigger, more often and with even more lurid and obtrusive color schemes.

Now, I get to foe posters just for having bad taste! (I should have thought of this on my own, really... but, I was probably preoccupied making my own presets)

Lastly, my public opinion of who to foe in the main deal thread is no less valid or more crazy than your public opinion about me expressing it... so, there!

Plus, you make your own decisions, right?

The large and color fonts should really be stopped for their own sakes. Doing that has the same effect as all caps, it just makes them difficult to read.
