I think that particular blue is automatic for links... especially noticeable where a big block of text (list of products, presets, etc.) is made into one.chk071 wrote:Indeed. Especially the blue font, which some seem to be keen on using, is almost unreadable, when you have the dark forum background activated, like i always have. It's just pointless anyway. The default font colour has the best contrast in any case.Uncle E wrote:The large and color fonts should really be stopped for their own sakes. Also, in listing everything on their sale under a single link is time wasting for me to consider (and yes, I'm pointing out JRR here). If you're going to link to a single page, then just list where it will take you instead of implying you can be taken to the specific product one might be interested in. It's just a waste of space on these threads when you go there and find you have to search anyway. And even if JRR has the best deal, their site has always had the worst search function. Often bringing up products that have little to nothing to do with what you put in their search bar.
IMO, Much of the 'gossip & discussions' that this thread has become is better done under the other forums. I always found this thread to be of more use when advertised deals, dealers & developers get f-upped.
Now it seems I only occasionally check it to see if the constant butt-licking and dick measuring has subsided.

That makes sense. I'm guessing you're referring more to when there are lots of products on sale, such as with VSL, Nomad Factory, or Plug & Mix? Or is it also a problem when it's even just a few products on sale?BBFG# wrote:Also, in listing everything on their sale under a single link is time wasting for me to consider (and yes, I'm pointing out JRR here). No... mainly referring to 'butt-licking and dick measuring,' apparently.

Seriously, though...
Uncle E: the fxpansion sale post was the record-breaking recent one that I recall.
But, I think it had a price for every item... so, very useful if you're scanning for a particular product and/or similar category items differ in price.
As mentioned, the disconnect then comes with the global link, and search challenges.

Sure, that makes sense. I could have simply made a link for all Geist Expanders on sale for $7.50 each and then put them into a single category. That's something we should be doing, anyway.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Antithesist addresses many good points, but I am with Uncle E in this matter.
Convenience is the key.

Bx_console sales and release dates confirmed by Dirk: Demo sometime in July in the coming weeks. For sale in first week of august.
Hi from New York, just arrived.
You will be able to download and use the plugin in July, the final fully functional version.
Sales will start early August, soon enough to guarantee you won't have any downtime.
Please don't think we're playing here, we're just finalizing and testing until the last minute.
So in a way, no matter how you read my or Matt's posts, they are both true.
Cheers, hope that helps planning for you guys.
Dirk.
So I will use my voucher on something else. It will not be for sale this month!

But it is also a general statement about going to your site without a link.
BTW, AudioDeluxe is almost as bad.
Maybe online dealers themselves should refrain from posting their own sales here and buy KVR ad space instead?

What is the beef here? User should have to do some hoop jumping instead of having a link to click on to get to the deal?
