Posts you regret posting...

Try Spire for Synth1 replacementoverhishead wrote:if you buy a vintage synth for a good price, then you can't really regret buying it because you can sell it for around what you paid for it. i'd buy a virtual synth as soon as i found one that replaces Charlatan or Synth1. i almost bought a u-he synth license, but even zebralette takes just too long to dial up a sound, can't get podolski to make a single tone that i am trying to, and zebra you need a PhD in sound design to understand. (and many consider U-he to be the best in the business.).
Not true really, there are commercial synths that aren't 7 headed beast's like Zebra, Synthmaster, Avenger and etc, by your writing you tried Zebra and called a day, try Hive or RePro 1 from U-He for example, there's RePro 5 coming soon too, so watch out for that.I'm in this field for almost 17 years, and I don't really care if this makes me sound stupid. something about the commercial synths causes them to feel the need to pack features in so densely to justify the price, that they're just too fiddly to use.
Have you tried Hive or Diva?overhishead wrote: i almost bought a u-he synth license, but even zebralette takes just too long to dial up a sound, can't get podolski to make a single tone that i am trying to, and zebra you need a PhD in sound design to understand. There are several nice Blofeld editors out there, both free and commercial where currently i use Monstrumfeld.chk071 wrote:I felt EXACTLY the same. But a lot pricier too then.
Oh yeah, Diva is awesome Charlatan substitute.Examigan wrote:Have you tried Hive or Diva?overhishead wrote: i almost bought a u-he synth license, but even zebralette takes just too long to dial up a sound, can't get podolski to make a single tone that i am trying to, and zebra you need a PhD in sound design to understand.
