Coarse/(too)tiny control while using mouse wheel

Hi Urs and others @U-He,

Currently the mouse scroll (wheel or otherwise) over a parameter will increment/decrement the value in full steps (+/- 1.00), and doing it while holding down the shift-key will do so with (too) tiny steps (+/- 0.01).

I feel this is kind of a coarse/(too)tiny control.

Could we have a variant that does a (preferably user defined) in-between precesion step, say holding down the ALT key would do a fine (+/- 0.5) step.

Would be grand!
