Is anyone else experiencing frequent crashing with the latest version of Waveform (8.1.2)? I've had it a total of 3 days, and it's crashed at least a dozen times, usually when I'm editing midi notes.

It's also generating crash logs, but they're all empty, which isn't too helpful:

I've been working on the same section of my current song for an hour now because of the crashes-- I have to make sure I literally save after every single edit!

I've had every version of Tracktion since version 1, but I've always ended up moving on to other software for various reasons...Waveform looked like something that would keep me with Tracktion, though, so I'm hoping the code gets tightened up!

On my system, it has never crashed.

The Waveform crashes I have experienced usually involved use of a 3rd party plugin. In some cases it has required using the VST2 version instead of VST3, or vice versa.

Try eliminating your plugins, and add one at a time until you can reproduce the crash.

If you are getting crashes without plugins, then it may be something else, such as an audio or MIDI driver.

So far, using the latest beta seems to have helped; one day in and no crashes so far...

v8.1.3 squashed 4 crash bugs, and v8.1.7 fixed one. So if you were still on v8.1.2, you were missing out on these fixes.
