Hey!
I am using Mulab 6 ( I bought a key). Sometimes when I import an audio file as a sliced sample, it slows it down and there is crackles and pitch issues. Anybody knows how to fix this?
Also Is there a length limitation to the files that can be imported as spliced samples? cause it cuts mine short if it's more than 10 seconds.
Thanks.

This problem is because your project speed (default 120 bpm) is very different to the original song tempo of the sample. If the original is, say at 80 bpm, and the project tempo is 120 bpm, the slices will not play in full, which sounds odd. If you are more than 20bpm off the original, things will start to cracle and odd sounding.

Try to adapt the project tempo to the original song tempo. If you don't know the original tempo, experiment with changing the project tempo up or down until it sounds ok. You might also open the sequence, right click inside and select Edit Sample and see if all the slices are correct and if there are enough slices.

About the sample file length, there is a setting in the user/settings/MainSetup.txt called DroppedAudioFilesLengthThreshold preference, but this doesn't seem to work anymore. At least I can't remember how it is to be set. Maybe someone else can help.

Thank you AndreasD! That might be why but sometimes my project tempo and the file sample are very close like 2 to 5 bpm and it still does that.

As far as the sample lenght is concerned, I went to Mulab< Edit preferences and couldnt find DroppedAudioFilesLengthThreshold. All I could find was Create audio file overview threshold and sample file length warning threshold
