So I tried the foe thing. Wow, I no longer feel like I'm being screamed at. And I still have the choice to look at the posts if I want. I think the problem was that the first time I saw the post, it was okay, but some days the posts don't fill the page and I see the screaming posts multiple times when looking at the new ones.

Ahhmmm I'm with this guy. I do my share of complaining to try and influence positive change, but I think things are getting a bit overbaked at this point. No need to change beyond our current no chat thread and the discussion thread.

We just need to maintain the current civility and foe the losers. I've added two sample pak binge posters to my foe list today and I think that'll take care of it nicely. Their loss for being losers. Next!

Though I am at the point where I get most of the newsletters, so other than the oddball deal I see most of them anyway.

A list of text/ direct links is for me so much faster to scan through than say Uncle E's mailouts, but that's maybe just me?

Separately listing highlights addtional / new products on offer , as in eg. Geist/ BFD Expander sale. For some reason the FxPansion mailouts never reach me

I forget about newsletters for products I don't own. I don't get them. So I still need to check out the thread. But really? If it's a great deal? I usually read it on the chat thread first because everyone is talking about it.

For evrybody interested in zero-g stuff:

- go to the bestservice site
- look at what they SAYING about the prizes under "deals"
- then LOOK at the prizes they have expelled for the "teilnehmende produkte" (especially something like "ethera" ))
- compare with prizes from timespace or zero-g
- decide

I am sure this will NOT last till end of july and someone will get some not so nice words at bestservice, but as long as it lasts )))

Actually, these prices have been like that for about a week now. So far, nobody has changed them so they might just be that low on purpose.

Sorry about my over-the-top posts, everyone (even murnau)... also didn't mean to have a chilling effect on the main thread.

Frankly, I avoided coming back until now for fear of more mental health accusations.

It seems like everyone has sorted things for themselves, which is probably how it should be.

It's a shame that pedestrians wandering into the no chat deals thread are fish-in-the-barrel for a few vendors we have a consensus about.

I think one of the things they try to do is have one of their ads on every new page... but also, trying to have their ads overshadow other posts.

I'm personally fine with JRR not changing anything, rather than overcompensating in the other direction... maybe just take a suggestion or two?

Uncle E has been a good community member (not just here) as a dealer and user for a long time.

Anyway, let's keep it clean and get those deals!

By the way, I got my Komplete 11 upgrade on the little hard drive from NI like three business days after ordering... I was impressed! (not a dig at JRR)
