Hi there,
I'm a new customer to Tracktion Waveform and cannot find out how to setup the pre-counting for recording.
It is really annoying, that if I want to record my guitar I have to press the "record" button and also start to play the guitar at the same time.
In Cubase there is a pre-count setting available, where I can have one or several bars being ticked by the metronome, so I can prepare my guitar playing during this ...

Is there anything similar in Waveform?
Thank you for a hint. :)

in the lower left corner, where all the option menus are, you have an entry called "click track". look in there

Got it ....
You made my day, mate!
Thank you!

@Tracktion:
Would be nice to have a on/off switch also in the direct accessible transport section. ;)

I find it easier to set a punch-in point, and begin recording before the part you want to keep. Or, simply begin recording before the part you want to save and then just trim the clip after.

Also look in Options for Retrospective Record. With it enabled, it will constantly record all inputs in the background. If you've just played something that you liked, press the button at the top-right that looks like a clock and it will convert the background recordings into actual clips on the appropriate tracks.

It works for both MIDI and audio.
