Is there a way to do this in Waveform, or is there a plugin that will do this?
I have a monophonic MIDI source (guitar with pitch-to-MIDI) and I'd like to find a way to get chords out of it...
All help appreciated!

Do you mean a plugin that tries to guess what chords you want to play?

Simplistic major chords (or fixed minor) are fairly easy to do...
Put your favorite vst you would use. Now right-click and put it in a wrapper.
Now drag in 2 copies of the midi modifier (don't know if it comes by default in the current release, but it did in the past). Set one to +7 semitones, and the other to +4.
Add links to the wrapper so it looks like this... (see attachment).
Midi in - and goes to 3 places. The 2 midi modifier change the input notes; and unmodified plus 2 others go to the VST. Now, you could probably also just take the VST out and have it as a quick'n'dirty "chord maker" so you could more easily change the sound .vst.
PS: There are versions of guitar chord generators out there... although I haven't tried them. http://thepiz.org/plugins/?p=midiChords.
More capable, when you tire of simple triads <grin>.

Try the new Midi Chord Player plugin in Waveform, under the Waveform Plugins group, see if that does what you need.

Huh. How long has that been there?
It also generates simple triads, but at least has the option of keeping it in key.

It's new with Waveform, wasn't in t7. There are also keyboard shortcuts to create chords from midi notes now too, have a look in the list in settings

Doesn't Xfer Cthulhu do this?
https://www.xferrecords.com/products/cthulhuChords Module
One Note Becomes Many. Cthulhu is firstly a chord memorizer and player, allowing you to experiment with creating and reworking chord progressions with single-note presses. Included are over 150 factory chord presets allowing for a near-unlimited amount of possible musical-sounding chord progressions. Import MIDI or 'record' chords straight in, Cthulhu is able to analyze the chords you play and allow for various sorting options (Circle of 5ths, Chromatic, low note, etc) allowing for easy access over your chords!

If you select midi notes, in the properties there is a create chord menu, it will create triads or sevenths in key. Or you can manually create any chord - diminished, augmented, suspended, sixth, seventh, etc.
Or you can use the chord player plugin mentioned above. It has two modes: all chords or in key. In all chords mode it will play major triads by default and you can hit a 2nd key to select your chord. In in key mode if will play the appropriate triad, or if you hit a 2nd key, the appropriate seventh.

Just FYI, Waveform's MIDI Chord Player does what I need, for now. I still might end up forking over $$$$ for a Fishman Triple Play, but for now I'm good to go!
Thanks for all the help!

Waveform and Studio One have built-in chorder plugins. But the best 3rd party plugin I have found so far is Tonespace.
Cthulhu is interesting, but probably more useful as an arpeggiator. I tried the demo but thought the chorder feature was a bit convoluted.
