No! Hadn't you heard? Urs caved to demands and decided to hold off until every synth that has ever had the word "Prophet" in it was precisely emulated with all of their iterations. Projected new release date is 2135. Sit tight. That date is subject to change if Dave Smith releases more Prophets.

Crap, i hope I didn't open a can of worms with the revision question. Makes no difference to me, I was just curious because I remember there being some kind of model switcher in the tweaks page for the oscillators and filters and if these settings (e.g. rounded/driven filters) had something to do with different revisions. Sounds like not so much.

From memory, it is a tweak setting for the oscillators - there are 3 settings - ideal, P1 and P5.

There'll be an additional 4th filter option which is tuned almost two octaves lower and has a little more distortion... I think we're going to offer a pretty good range of P-synth flavours.

So I get the Ideal/P1/P5 osc differences, but out of curiosity, where do the filter varieties come from? Different units that you analyzed?

Also before I forget: I am strongly considering getting the repro bundle because of repro-5 (I'll test first of course). One thing I would already make a request for is a couple more modulation slots. Maybe a page 1/2 toggle? I know there are dedicated velocity knobs but because I like to use aftertouch and mpe controls, I can see that I would always want more than two. I'm not someone who is generally lookin for a lot of modulation slots but I think four would really be great given all the expressions possible.
Thanks

Different units, indeed. The "driven" filter option is based on my own tweaks to the model, i.e. No reference in hardware.

Really hope you guys are joking about different revs being modeled before release... I really need it for a Hall And Oats tune my band is covering later this month...

I've been taking repro-1 for a spin and really loving the filter, need to do some more comparison with Diva before I take the plunge though. Is there any chance we'll see this filter model appearing in Diva or Zebra/Dark Zebra any time soon? I'm assuming no. I'm also assuming by what I heard so far that this filter is much easier to get a good ringy resonance for filter sweeps than say the Ladder filter in Diva. What are your opinions on that?

So it means there would be no Rev 4, Rev 6.66 and Rev 6.9 in initial release? Damn

So when do I get my hands on this puppy??? :)

Any chance of adding cc74 modulator to repro-5? In my non-expert mind, I'm imagining it's as easy as changing the text in the code that says CC "2" to say "74", or more likely duplicating the code to add cc74. I guess it's more involved than I imagine for existing synths but perhaps since repro is in development still, it might be easier now than later? One can hope. ;) It would seal the deal for me anyways! (unfortunately I use bitwig which is one of the hosts that can't remap these controls)

You can always remap with third party plugins, like pizMIDI.

I've stopped using Bitwig with the Linnstrument... Logic handles the MPE stuff better. I output CC1 from the Linnstrument for the Y axis, so it already works with all the u-he synths (besides Zebra). No need for any remapping and Logic records midi channel data, which, unlike Bitwig, means your performance as you played it is recorded (Bitwig drops the midi channel data)
