Understanding Control Surface mappings

I'm trying to understand the options I have for a Control Surface MIDI mapping (the "Edit Control Mappings..." option in a custom Control Surface). In particular I'd like to understand the following options:
> Plugin > Quick Control Parameter
> Plugin > Automatable Parameters
> Track > Aux
> Navigation > Select filter in track
Does anyone have any insights into this? I can't find it in the documentation, or elsewhere online. Thanks!
(Using Waveform 8.2.0, OSX 64bit).

Most Plugins only use 16 but some use more so you might not be able to control all the parameters to some plugins. (note) parameter: 1 is your dry control and parameter: 2 is your wet control for almost every plugin if not all and I say this to let you know that the first parameter for most plugins GUI is parameter: 3.
If you like me I like my Wet and Dry Parameters to be the last 2 knobs of my controller at all times.(note2) parameters 1 and 2 are control Waveform native volume and pan plugin parameters

Thanks! One clarification:
Does this mean that if I add a AuxSend to a track, I'll be controlling the level? And if so, is this limited to only one aux? That'd be a shame...> Track > Aux: This is the option to have control of a aux input plugin volume set to be controlled by a Knob of fader on your controller.(note) this is per > Track > Aux 1 threw 32.

Yes you will be controling the level.dense13 wrote:Thanks! One clarification:

An No you are not limited to one aux. You can add it to all 32 AuxSend plugins if you like. but the down side is it has no AuxSend bank mapping to assign to a controller so if it is not a Mackie Control Universal midi connection you can
not use say, 8 Knobs to control all 32 sends in 4 banks of 8. You can only assign each of the 8 knobs to 1 AuxSend a peace period. So if you have enough knobs or faders to do this and that works for you keep it going.

No, you can put up to 14 Auxsends on 1 track if you like.dense13 wrote:I meant, only one send per track, right?

But then how do I do the MIDI mapping in the control surface? I.e., how do I assign CC80 to the reverb send and CC81 to the delay send, on the same track? (the actual numbers are just an example). No, you can put up to 14 Auxsends on 1 track if you like

Just map any 2 knobs or faders on your controller to any 2 Auxsends 1 threw 32. I like to start backwards starting my sends from 32 and count down and renaming each Auxsend you plan to use. Now place place these sends on a track and then place the returns on another track and now you will be able to control each of the assigned Auxsends faders in you edit.
