Hello Reaper Users,

I´m sorry if I bring up a topic that has already been discussed to death  ..

Since I´m about to install my audio software on a new notebook I would like to ask you about your experience using Melda Vst3 in Reaper.

-Are Melda Vst3s running stable in Reaper?
-Are there any problems running Vst3s and Vst2 (also of other manufacturers) in parallel?
-Did you encounter any performance advantages or issuses using Vst3 instead of Vst2?
-Would you stay in Vst2 format in generall because not every manufacturer offers Vst3 yet?
-Any MIDI Problems?

Thanks in advance &

Cheers,
A :phones:

"Are Melda Vst3s running stable in Reaper?"............No problems here.
"-Are there any problems running Vst3s and Vst2 (also of other manufacturers) in parallel?"........No problems here.
"-Did you encounter any performance advantages or issuses using Vst3 instead of Vst2?".....No, but I'm not an expert.
"-Would you stay in Vst2 format in generall because not every manufacturer offers Vst3 yet?".......No, I happily have both VST2 and VST3.
"-Any MIDI Problems?".......Not that I know of.

The only thing that stumped me at first was that VST2 presets saved in Reaper (I don't mean internal Melda presets), don't appear when using the VST3 version. That's why I have both VST2 and VST3 versions: my old projects have VST2 Reaper presets. I'm gradually cleaning all this up by opening VST2 Reaper presets then saving as Melda presets...then they appear in the VST3 versions....and I now just use Melda presets....which is a good idea anyway, see:viewtopic.php?f=138&t=480677

Well ... in my eyes ...
vst3 really solves the problem!
Mhhh, yes, it is of course, a problem that ... mhhh ... some people ... mhhh ... few people ... had, theese who use cubase and those who ... forgotten ...
What ... was the problem with vst2? Let me think, ... mhhh ...
