Oh no not that dude invading even here...

Jesus Christ - Adam please just continue to do what you are doing and do not listen band of KVR product "specialist" which never even had a startup company let alone single product to base their opinion or anything like that. But for some reason they value their perception as representation of majority. This is sick. I mean truly sick.

You just continue what you are doing and these 64 bit crybabies which can't spend 14$ on 100% compatible bridge application - well you don't need these "customers" anyway.

Adam i can imagine if you where Access and you released a native Virus which demand ilok or syncrosoft no one would complain for extra 40$ for dongle but hey...investing 14$ for program which will give you option to 100% run 32 bit plugins in 64 bit environment is less pro and extra work...Man what a world..

Post

Yeah and those bridge apps are known for their stability and compatibility... :D :D :D I wonder why the support from plugin companies and also DAWs advice against any bridging :ud:

FTR, I bought JBridge. It doesn't always work. In addition, I was very respectful to Admin and even said I agree with everything he said and is doing. I simply explained to him the reality of the world, and more specifically, the world that I live in.

I think maybe you need to take a course in anger management because there is nothing that I said in my post that deserved your response.

Yes, it is no wonder I despise this place sometimes.

It has nothing to do with being "cheap" not spending $14 on jBridge. 64-bit plugins have been available for, like, 7-8 years now? Many modern DAWs has a built-in bridge, though Studio One doesn't (and not Cubase either I guess). I have jBridge already, but I'm not using it. Not that it's buggy, for me it's more the cosmetics (thinking of the ugly banner below the window).

I'm pretty sure sales would be a lot higher with a 64-bit version though, so claiming that Adam don't "need" these customers couldn't be further from the truth. All paying customers are needed.
Mac Mini M4 Pro | 14 Cores (10P/4E) | 48GB RAM | Studio One | Reason | Bitwig Studio | Logic Pro | FL Studio | Cubase Pro | Waveform | Reaper | Renoise | ~1000 VSTs/AUs | ~350 REs

jBridge is a beautiful thing. But it does beg to ask...why is it still needed in 2017 except for old, unsupported plugins, which probably won't work under Windows 10 anyway?

Im pretty sure Adam didnt bother to make a 64 bit version yet just because not enough people have told him that he should, so keep on
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

We should have a poll. :hihi:
This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here? :D ShawnG

Believe me, I understand why he doesn't make a 64 bit version for this. He literally can't. At least not with his current knowledge or without selling out to a 3rd party programmer who might end up running off with his hard work.

He's in a no win situation until Flowstone goes 64 bit, which I don't see happening until the day comes when 32 bit literally doesn't exist anymore, the way MS DOS doesn't exist anymore as a viable OS for anything other than playing Zork.

How long that'll be? I haven't a clue. Wouldn't be surprised though if it's another 5 to 10 years minimum until Flowstone goes 64 bit. Before that happens, somebody is going to come out with a Virus TI clone and might even sound better than the original given how fast PCs will be by then.

Indeed. Until he learns to code outside of FS its not going to happen... ever.

Did SE ever make it to 64bit? That was on the cards for years...

(Im not knocking him in anyway, just stating the facts about FS)

Yes the sole reason to release a 32 bit only plugin in 2017 is because you're using Synthmaker / Flowstone or Synthedit.

Get someone to work with you who can code native plugins. Like Rob Papen and Jon Ayres. If Viper sounds as good as claimed it's a crime to handcuff it with SM/FS/SE.

Anyway releasing a 32 bit only plugin now is like releasing new a movie only on VHS....or BetaMax.

Sold my jp6k license because 32bit stuff just doesn't work properly anymore. Even though bitwig does great job with them.
So sadly this won't be too interesting before it's available as x64.

Wasn't there some talk years back that this would've been Reaktor based? That would've been ALOT better option than flowstone :P

And exactly what difference would that make? If that poll comes out showing that the vast majority want 64-bit, does that somehow turn flowstone into 64-bit as well?
It is after all the very fact and reason why Viper will be 32-bit only.

I have no idea how much effort would be required to re-code in 64bit, but if Viper does has "the sound", partnering with another developer for a share of the profits would seem a good move.
