Plugin Alliance have another sale and for the first time I got a $50 voucher, I suspect possibly due the VAT happenings.

So since then I have considerably more PA plugins thanks to KVR market place, freebies and nice deals at distributors.

However this month I again only got $25 voucher so I'd say it's definitely dependent on how much you spend on their site as they have no idea how little I paid elsewhere compared to their crazy RRPs

They make a sale they wouldn't have made otherwise, and it's software so the net cost to them for that sale is minimal. Worst case scenario, they say it's a mistake and refund your money.

Great price. I upgraded from Breaktweaker last December and have not looked back. Music Production Bundle 2 has a lot of great tools I use more and more. If they are offering it sounds like it will go through.

The only reason I came across it was they also had a new though slightly damaged one for £90, there were enough positive reviews to sway me and I can easily repair it and get make my money back if it doesn't suit me. I don't have any preamps or DI boxes except a Behringer Vamp Bass Pro which is Ok but digital

Revolution is an insanely detailed sampled drum machine with a lot of samples of the TR-909, Linn and other big-name drum machines, and processing for each pad. Beatbox Anthology has a lot of different drum machines, some of them really obscure, but with fewer samples per pad and with less control over the sound. Both have built-in graphical sequencers. The one in Revolution can be used more like a TR-type sequencer with pattern switching on the fly; BBA is more geared to building up patterns and then exporting them as MIDI to a DAW track and switched there for use in a song.

Have you used the Revolution?
I have watched 4-6 tutorials of both the Revolution and the Anthology 2. None of the two seem to have GM input, I like more the Revolution sounds and sequencer, but I don't know if the Kontakt integration is a good a thing or a bad thing. I have Kontakt 5 and using Kontakt taxes the CPU.
One downside is that the 80-90's drum sounds are are rather limited, you get "the drum machine sound" but not much more, although the Revolution effects are pretty impressive.

They both have more or less the same GM-style keymapping for the core pads - C1 for kick, D1/E1 for snares, F#-A# for hi-hats etc. But they aren't trying to be GM modules in any way.

Revolution is fairly easy on the CPU compared to some scripted Kontakt instruments, around 10% on a 2009 2.3GHz Mac Pro. That goes up if you start engaging a lot of the per-pad effects.

If you don't want "the drum machine sound" these are not the instruments you are looking for.

You are absolutely correct, what I ment, is that the developer could perhaps deliver 1-2 extra (optional, for the fee )libraries with more modern drum
(machine) sounds. Although I need the 80's sounds (I even have some hardware modules), the ability to spice those retro colors was well come.

I actually spent money last month and still only got a $25 voucher. I own over $500 in products at full price. Oh well too bad for them. If I got the $50 one I would have bought the Rooms plugin. Now, who knows. For $50 I can get Valhalla instead.

I thought I might have hit the next level with my purchase last month. Oh well. I bought near the end of the month so it may go up next month. I'm just basing on what someone said earlier when they were calculating the levels.

Regarding PA: I don't know what the break points are, but I did read on GS that the basis is total money spent.

I'd guess that excludes VAT.

Can confirm what softska said about the extra $25 last month... it was to make up for not being able to combine the recent survey voucher with the loyalty vouchers.

I was sad that mine came back down this month.

I'm on the fence about Console E, since I have Console... have to decide if I want to buy this month to get Console N for free, or pay $29 or more for it later.

I'll wait on the mystery reveal to decide, and then to the end of the month if I already have or don't want that.
