Very true. It wouldn't be the first time.

For that matter, any of us could die a week from now. Wouldn't you rather spend your last week on Earth enjoying a new synth, rather than holding off just in case something bad happens to the developer?

Yep, really happy about that. There a so much for it already. This really sounds a bit like a little child from Sculpture (still think this is the king of morphing timbres) and Kaleidoscope.....means i'm sure i love it. Maybe the first PPG synth i would buy also as plug-in, even for 10X the price.

This is one of the guys which logic I don't get - therefore I never bought anything from him, and probably never will, in spite of being a long time admirer of his work.

He asks ten times more for the exact same piece of code, except that one is for iOS and is sold by Apple Store (which even charges him a commission) and other is for regular OSes and is sold by him (therefore, he doesn't pat commissions to anyone. Os are there any diferences?

Am I the only one that fails to see the logic on this? Is it's the same, it should be priced the same.

It´s the market and maybe that support for less soft- and hardware configurations might be much more easy and there is not much piracy too. No one will sell iOS synth apps for 50+ dollar in anytime soon.
Fabfilter, Audio Damage, Korg, Virsyn, Waldorf, Moog and some others all do the same.
The question now is are iOS apps too cheap or desktop plug-ins to expensive or should they meet somewhere in the middle.
But of course you can´t resell any app you bought in the app store. Mostly you have still better integration in big DAW´s with plug-ins (but iOS AUv3 is mainly getting there now).
I much prefer these synths on my mac but i also find it hard to pay 10 times more if i can get the exact same (sometimes even with better performance tools and an extra standalone version) for less.
That said, there are also cheap iOS apps which will count with IAP and DAW´s which are cheap but just having a fraction of the content you will get with desktop DAW´s.

Also the reason i just bought the iOS PPG apps yet.
But who knows. Developers have to decide where the better market is.
I saw that Audio Damage f.e. was surprised of the amount of apps they sold (seems more than from their plug-ins...at least for a few of them. And that after such a short time).
But i only believe in iOS really again if i see the first U-he app :D

But to be fair, f.e. Phonem for desktop offers a multi-voice mode which the iOS version don´t have yet (because the cpu can´t handle it....might changed by now).
It could be that the others have some extras too for desktop, not sure.
But still the difference in price is huge.
Another example is Sunrizer. The app is much cheaper even when the plug-in is also cheap for a good synth but it lacks a major feature which i gave up to ask for and is included in the iOS version, importing .tun files.
And the next synth from Beepstreet (Zeeon) seems iOS only too (and it sounds so damn good).
Maybe i buy really an iPad as synth module. So i could save a lot money in the long term :)
Also you don´t need a controller like a Seaboard to play voice per channel modulations on an iPad which makes some synth much better for performance.
Some unique synths are there too like Animoog. There is nothing like this for desktop.

tbh this seems a synth made more for touch screen anyway so it's probably more fun on iPad - same with WaveMapper. It's only Wavegenerator and Phonem that are worth getting on desktop too.
