Just got mine, was £90 with a dent in the back which Ive fixed.khanyz wrote:There are a lot of very mixed reviews for the dbx 376 with some snobbery creeping in.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Gear4music are selling the DBX 376 for £129.99
It's several hundred more everywhere else
Been reading it functions as a nice bass preamp
http://www.gear4music.com/Recording-and ... al-Out/6SY
Vacuum Tube Microphone Preamp
Integrated Compressor & De-Esser
3-Band Parametric EQ Section
Selectable Mic/Line Switch
AES/EBU and S/PDIF Digital Outputs
Anyone got one? I'm thinking it could replace my Art Tube MP Studio V3 and Levelar combo.
Had to take the top off to sort the dent out and inside looks well made, more attractive than Behringer stuff anyway
Tube looks easy to replace and a few trims to abuse if you want.
No experience with preamps but with my no name 40 year old kit bass I was given it sounds great. The EQ and compressor are very useable but more importantly I can get a decent signal into my soundcard at last
I wouldn't pay £500 for one but as a cheap DI/preamp its awesome

I just want to let people in this forum know my great experience concerning the Wave Alchemy customer service. Dan by the WA is a great example of the good service, a long-span customer relation person. Without going to details, I can say that the service I got, should be an example for all customer care in the busines: the core point is, that especially in those cases when the company knows, that there will not be an immediate gain for the company, and purchase by the customer today, the customer care sees the value of the client - the way you treat the (potential) clients today, will be rewarded tomorrow.

I have one sample pack from them that I like. There was nothing in the 8x8 pack that I wanted though.Numanoid wrote:Anybody familiar with Black Octopus? Sort of 8x8 day sale, at 96% off

Think I will skip on Black Octopus, very nice price, but I am drowning in a backlog of samples already
Another question: Is Primaltap previously a freebie?

No, little primal tap might have been though, I don't recall and, obviously, I missed it if it was.Numanoid wrote:Think I will skip on Black Octopus, very nice price, but I am drowning in a backlog of samples already

On that subject, does anyone know of a good video for this thing? I haven't been impressed enough yet to part with the sale price.
