He means in 32 bit float. You can go above 0 in 32 bit float without issue.

Oh crap. Soooo, there is no digital clipping above 0dbfs in 32 bit float?? (Is that even a valid statement?) I was thinking you just had that much more dynamic range. Looks like I need to do some more reading... Thanks!

But remember that, once you downsample to export, the clipping shows up.
