Recording guitar

So I recently got a Behringer u-phoria umc22 audio interface so I could record electric guitar in MuLab on my mac, but MuLab will not recognize it as a recording input even when I select the interface as my audio source. It records fine in Audacity but I want to record it straight into MuLab if I can.

Not a Mutools user but I'm guessing that (like the little behringer usb interface I've got for my laptop), there'll be no specific ASIO driver supplied, and you'll need to install ASIO4all and use that as your interface in your settings. You can then select the input(s) in the ASIO4all dialog.

Thanks for the help. I followed the directions, made an aggregate device, yet it still won't record. It says the input is -79 dB too quiet, but the gain on my interface is jacked all the way up.

Please double-check the routing. You don't have to record to check the routing, just make sure monitoring is on and check the level meters.
