MDrummer large - how to change the path to imported kits?

I importet some wav (k-size) - worked well and when I clicked >generate< in the quick setup menue the new files were used to create new kits. Really really great!
But in the meantime I moved the k-size folder and every time I want to >generate< a new kit the files are not found. I can tell MDrummer the new path for every single wav, but he seems to forget it immediately.
I even re-scanned the files - doesnt help.
So where is the path to the imported files stored? How can I change it? (It is not the path to MDrummer's own files!)
Tha-anks! :help:

After you tell MD the new path and load the sample, you have to save the component again (the little folder icon save button top of drum list panel in the editor). Then he won't forget!
Or after finding/ loading one by one the components to make a kit, save the whole kit, then all the components will be saved also.

It would be good if after moving files on your hard drive you could just point MD to a folder and MD could find all the missing files of a previously saved drumset in one pass....Vojtech?

Thanks, but ... I cant do it for 100s of wavs. There must be a better way.

I assume you have used the sample analysis and import, right? Then I'm afraid you are doomed... You'll have to fix it manually OR just use the sample analyzer again ;).

Vojtech,
would it be too complex (or impossible) to point MD to a folder to find all missing files at once, and would this be complex/impossible because within analyse/import there are the options to generate from different sources (other folders)?
And BTW, what other folders are used...just the factory folders I guess, and looking at naming?

Mhh. No problem, but I thought I had tried that. Ok, once again ...

It's a bit of a problem indeed, since there are already several folders in use - factory content, custom folder and then well the actual folder you used outside of anything. I'd personally generally recommend keeping all samples "somewhere" and set the Custom sample path to that folder. Then whenever you move the samples, you'll just need to update the global setting.

Are you saying that if the option to generate from different sources is ticked in the analyse/import dialogue, the custom path is used as a source (along with the factory stuff)? No, I don't think you are saying that...you just mean that a certain designed drumset for example could consist of samples from all over the place, some of the components using samples from say the custom path, and other components deriving from the analyse/import thing?

I quite don't follow the question. Anyways I believe (I'm not sure though :D ), that when importing, MSampler is instantiated for each drum and the path is set to it and it chooses the best option available - factory if the sample is in factory folder, custom if it is in custom sample path, otherwise global file system...

Ok,
Re complex problem of finding all missing files at once because of several folders in use...understood, but yes, I can see how having a custom path to an ordered location is a great help..it gives MD a relative rather than absolute path, yes?

Re analyse/import and the options to generate from different sources (other folders?)...I'll perhaps start a new topic about all that after exploring it more.
Thanks Vojtech, incredible work you do.

Thank you!

And yes, the point is to produce relative paths, so that you can just move all the stuff later (or when you choose to use a different computer, you may not need to replicate the original paths...).
