Okay. Not as simple as I thought, then.Urs wrote:I do have an idea about that. I would be happy with any upgrade for any product.
How's Zebra 2 new design going? Anthing new on the back then announced MFM2/Filterscape update? New Diva stuff? New modules? What about Hive? Is the "Fill the Hexagon" plan dropped for good? And I remember having read sth about new skins/design for Uhbik?
It's been quite a long time since my latest U-he fix...

Actually, that's a fair point. I basically always go for echoboy and FabFilter Vulcan because of ease of use. Those mentions of GUI updates had me pretty excited.2ZrgE wrote:I would be happy with any upgrade for any product.

Well, it's all cooking. The big question is always "do we hire more people to get things done quicker, or does hiring more people slow us down?".
That said, *everything* is currently stalled by the new preset browser. A lot of ongoing redesigns have to be revised because the new browser will imply a new form factor.
The Uhbik update was also stalled for a long time because we couldn't update Rack Extensions anymore (our codebase does not compile to RE without a months work or two). Now that we offer a crossgrade to VST and Reason supports VST, we can extend Uhbik AAX/AU/VST without updating the REs.
MFM2 has been improved internally (new feedback fx), but UI redesign was postponed till after Z2.8, Hive and possibly Uhbik. Same for Filterscape. Uhbik-A is supposed to receive new reverb modi, but only after the reverb for Z3 is finished (which I put away for now so I can have a fresh listen when I get back to it). Same with Uhbik-P, which will see more traditional phaser modes (shout out to @Xaoc Devices, I absolutely love Kamieniec)
That's how I work anyway... I do something up to a certain point. Then I work on other things. When I go back to the original project, I'm not precious about it anymore and have a less biased view. It's a very important factor IMHO in making stuff that is good, instead of stuff that seems good in a moment where you're occupied by it. Sometimes however I need to do things twice because of it.

This is a huge insight and I like it. I know the brain works on things subconsciously, especially if we have hyper-focused on something for a time. So this makes perfect sense. Thanks for sharing!Urs wrote: That's how I work anyway... I do something up to a certain point. Then I work on other things. Well I totally understand that, and I can live with that of course.Urs wrote:Well, it's all cooking. The big question is always "do we hire more people to get things done quicker, or does hiring more people slow us down?".

Only thing which bothers me a bit is that there's too much 'official' anouncement of stuff which then takes rather long to appear (and I'm not talking about Zebra 3 here..
In my opinion it would be better not to anounce stuff which will clearly won't show up in a sensible period of time, if that makes sense. Less talk, more action..

Also I don't recall any announcement that hasn't been implemented in the end.

Well this statement is of course true - because "in the end" can mean many different things...david.beholder wrote:...
