One thing that could add more realism is if you have a reverb that lets you put people in different positions of a room, and put that on each group of girls (if you would choose to have 4 groups set up instead of spreading them individually - play around with it and see what sounds the best) or each girl separately (lots of CPU overhead needed, threadripper time! :) ).

I´m really curious to see what comes out of it. I´d say that if you have a well arranged 4 or 5 voice choral group set up with what you´re suggesting, perhaps it´ll come to life.

Is there such a reverb that you know of? If so, I'll go out and get it if it'll make the job a little easier.

You're not gonna get that unless you got all dem singers together. All M-unison's gonna do is give you chorus.
There's a few tricks that others I take it have mentioned like formant each vocal take of yourself but it aint gonna sound anyting like dat.

On the subject, you notice all these teen girls with clean, sweet vocals singing ...rock music. Well they do that because their target audience is 40 year old men. I know it's kinda obvious in the video clip but it's just strange girls of that age singing, appealing to an audience twice their age. Anywhere else in the world, the audience would be younger than the singers.

Weird, I dreamt last night that there was a VST which could do this. Like those virtual solo singing VST´s, but this time with a virtual singing bunch of girls :)

It is already I believe, but I get what you´re saying: Inappropriate construction of messages, such as mentioning the words "dreamt" and "girls" in almost the same sentence could lead weak souls into immoral behaviour.

@wagtunes: Rating-jokes aside and back on topic. Without 40 female individuals or a plugin that still only exists in my dream (such a crowdifier-vst would be superawesome!), how´s the progress of your attempt to emulate this sound? I´m curious about how realistic you manage to get things sounding by use of the suggested methods.

Well, here's what I came up with. I'm pleased with the results even though I know I'm going to get nothing but criticism and negativity.

11 vocal tracks to make this.

I think you made a good attempt here, knowing how difficult it has to be achieving the feeling of many females together at once. I found this really interesting video on how you can get a stadium-crowd feel to a vocal by using a vocoder:

I can imagine that this could also be used for your project, perhaps with a sample of a not such a large crowd.

Here is a video I made using MUnison. For the sound of Jpop I'd detune it more and make it sound more out of tune. Jpop groups are notorious for their bad singing and during those sections the vocals are almost like talking instead of perfectly tuned harmonies.

MUnison is exactly what I used on the track that I posted.
