nah, you got it wrong, man. I wasn't talking about me waiting for Repro-5, I was talking about Urs having to deal with all you whiners, beggars, OCD freaks, disturbing him on a daily basis, and admiring his patience with you. that's why I asked where do I get his patience, because goddamn it, the guy just has to have the patience of Job.
Don't mix up being enthusiastic and excited with whining because there are only few who whine here and one of them is you now :roll:

Also i dont think Urs gets notifications with every post here. Also he is free to just ignore this tread and focus work :)

If you want to whine about Repro, do it in this thread!

If you are impatient for Repro-5 and want to vent, then vent in this thread! Do it!

If you have a stupid question about Repro-5, post it in this thread! That is what this thread is for! Don't be shy!

If you have anything whatsoever to say about Repro-5, say it here! Don't hesitate and don't wait! Go for it! Just do it!

And no, I am not joking! Not at all! Not a jot and not one iota!

Wrong syntax, correct one is:
#define MUSIC
Murderous duck!

I do.

But not with software, these days. :lol:

Post

So much fun and learning with Repro-1, no stress for Repro-5.

Chill out and make some music ;)

You mean the craftsmanship of :

* buying and selling plugs
* reading about what other people think about this or that software
* arguing whether this or that synth sounds "analog"
* arguing whether this or that processor is "better" than the other one
* accumulating hundreds of thousands of presets, free or purchased (99.9% of them remain unused)
* waiting impatiently for some newly announced processor that would be released in (at least) one year time
* buying stuff based on the premise that if some big shot artist uses it - we will become big shots, too
* regarding every new audio tool as "the best there is, was, and will be"
* enlisting our own private, randomly selected, audio tools - and hailing them as the definite "BEST"
* fiddling endlessly with plain 4 bars loops, processing them with the newest tools, and head to prominent forums - saying we "tested" the tools thoroughly but "need more time to make a real assessment" (a period of time which - incidentally - ends as soon as another new tool is released)

?

If all the above is true - then YES, we are musicians :D

Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

I've adopted Brian Eno's stance on this. I make music, but I'm not a musician. It frees me from having to answer daft follow up questions.
