I think that you need an active WUP to sell a plugin.Kalamata Kid wrote: Same here have Waves Gold (out of WUP) and interested in the Platinum.
Buy Platinum and sell the Gold later this year?

Does anyone know if Tokyo Dawn Records/Labs does sales on their plugins? I realize they have a Slick EQ GE & Slick EQ M edition bundle for 60 euros. But I'm curious if I should hold out until the holidays before pulling the trigger on the new Limiter 6 GE.

then sell my Gold for $100
but then if I need to pay for WUP it will kill this deal.
Heck, I will just keep my Gold.

Make sense, thou they already have subscription, but somewhat out of line (not necessary on per-plugin basis but Platinum is $49/m and Mercury is $149/m), buying is actually cheaper even if you consider sales price of Mercury, 1.5yr in and you're getting ripped off)evilantal wrote:Or they are gearing up to go subscription themselves.Temptin wrote:Theory 2: They are feeling pressure from all other, frankly often better, plugin makers these days. So they want to compete vs subscriptions. Tons of $29 sales every month is better than $10 subscriptions.
Hauling one last mountain of cash from individual plugin sales before that time.
If they are going lower subscription price for all you can eat a lot of people will jump onboard for sure.

Sound Forge Audio Studio 10 is included with latest Beat Magazine, no 142.
It seems also to include iZotope Audio Enhancer and iZotope Vocal Eraser.
Who is owner of Sound Forge these days, Sony or Magix ?

UVI just launched vintage vault 2 - 399 USD/EUR introductory offer (599 USD/EUR normally).
If you have existing UVI products and log in, you may find it cheaper - upgrade from vintage vault 1 is 199 USD/EUR / upgrade from single product 299 USD/EUR
hefty lump of a thing: 116.26GB - Content: 51 instruments, 111 Drum Machines, 7,974 Presets, 313,858 Samples

And just like the Smiths, when compiling all their singles, they put on a new exclusive so that those who already had bought all the singles from before, needed to buy the whole album nevertheless to stay updatedOneOfManyPauls wrote:UVI just launched vintage vault 2 - 399 USD/EUR introductory offer (599 USD/EUR normally).
OB Legacy (6 instrument suite) is a good draw

It is making me wobble on buying IK's Syntronik though, as I have UVI falcon (and a few of the synths/drums in V V 2 as it goes), and I really like the sound of those OB legacy instruments. Plus the newer UVI stuff, with the ability to select waveforms for each oscillator, is a draw.
Decisions, decisions...
