* buying and selling plugs
* reading about what other people think about this or that software
* arguing whether this or that synth sounds "analog"
* arguing whether this or that processor is "better" than the other one
* accumulating hundreds of thousands of presets, free or purchased (99.9% of them remain unused)
* waiting impatiently for some newly announced processor that would be release in (at least) one year time
* buying stuff based on the premise that if some big shot artist uses it - we will become big shots, too
* regarding every new audio tool as "the best there is, was, and will be"
* enlisting our own private, randomly selected, audio tools - and hailing them as the definite "BEST"
* fiddling endlessly with plain 4 bars loops, processing them with the newest tools, and head to prominent forums - saying we "tested" the tools thoroughly but "need more time to make a real assessment" (a period of time which - incidentally - ends as soon as another new tool is released)
?

(Urs, how about that name for the RePRO duo as a collective ?...
Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

Clearly you guys have not heard the demo of Repro 5. It's an incredible synth. Just listen to the part around 6:30 where he demos the Bit Crusher distortion:
Everyone is going to want this synth!
