I'm starting to believe that the BPmelody option shouldn't be used at all if you want any kind of decent sounds out of the synth... That bass sound is really impressive, going to steal it and bend it to my will.

Thanks a lot for the comment. If you like, you can follow the course of events and then reply, next time.Taron wrote:What are you still doing here? Thought you've said that already...] Peter:H [ wrote:I see we don't have a lot of clear statements: "Yes, go with NoiseTar" or "No, let's get rid of it".Taron wrote:Yes, it's the first time I tried to play with one sound for a little longer and it accumulates into some freaking out from which there is no comeback. So...I'll see, if I can talk to Luigi. Possibly he might be able to have a quick look at it, see if he can spot what accumulates and fix it, because broken it is for sure.
Seems you guys love "challenges", then go for it. Have fun, I'm out.

Look, as I suggested/promised, I've talked to Luigi and he will have a look at Noisetar tomorrow, possibly improving it to work properly for the insane task of actually trying to make music with it (FOR WHICH IT WAS NOT INTENDED!). This may just be reliable performance in "BPmelody" mode and greater consistency in general.] Peter:H [ wrote: Thanks a lot for the comment. I'm not asking you to be grateful, but at least don't come at me like I was doing something wrong, please.

Because so far I can't get this to make the same sound twice in a row.

Hi!
Well, I've coaxed something out of this beast. It certainly has character
For the first time for me - a version of my track for feedback from anyone inspired / willing to give it please! Especially around anything to do with the mix which I'm still totally learning, but any thoughts or comments much appreciated! This this *not* a final submission

Well... I couldn't resist to crack at least the 1 minute mark and add some additive bells to it
But tomorrow I am gone and can't do any more work. So, here is the updated (most likely final) version of my submission:
16 x Noisetar in Ableton Live 9
Ableton Live Effects
EQ Eight
Comressor
Limiter
Reverb
Ping Pong Delay
Utility
a few MIDI Effects

New builds? Thanks guys. Could you please do 32-bits as well, as I *still* run 32-bit Reaper on my 7 year old machine.
Got some nice things going already - no problems really. A nice ambient sort of ditty, but plenty of music for your ears too! The main thing I find difficult is to get very different characters to the melodic sounds, but then I have only just started today, so things will get better.
I get round the "inconsistencies" of note polyphony etc by simply treating the synth as a mono beast and split poly tracks up and routing to individual instances.
Does anyone find the ADSR awkward? I really would like to get a plucked style sound. Sort of got it, but not good enough to me so far. In fact, I have lots of nice sounds, but in terms of sound design, not quite there yet.
I too got a quite good bass sound without too much hassle.
I will still use some of the nice ambient style sounds this synth is designed for in my track.
A real challenge, but hey, I'm up for it!
