I am not 100 % satisfied with the presets they bring along. What I cant manage:
Chorus:
I would like a chorus that converts a sawtoth wave into fantastic synth-strings or synth-pads. (Know Roland Juno 6 from the old days? It has a fantastic chorus.)
Phaser:
I would like that sort of sience-fiction-fly-away-straight-to-andromeda-phaser, a phaser like the ones Amanda Lear used to have.
Can someone help?

Do you have any audio examples of the Roland chorus? Or even better any emulation software? If i have some example i should be able to make a preset for you.
As for the sci fi sound, again an example is needed in order for me to copy the sound.

jm8...By my recollection, TAL has a Juno 60 and its chorus effect both available as free vsts.
Sidenote: Have you checked out Eventide's Ultratap for MTurboDelay ideas? It has some very interesting features. ms/sync values for up to 64 taps (make them all occur within a set time/ sync), blurring of taps via "Slurm"...etc.

Hold CTRL and click the paste button in MChorusMB, then direct it to this file (download it and unzip)
Save the preset for future use.

Note that it is rather problematic for chorus to convert a saw into the "big" sound, it's far better to use unison feature of the synth you are using (such as MPowerSynth
).

To be honest i couldn't quite hear the sound you wanted from the song. Could you point out what time it comes in, or another example? The modulating sound felt more like they were synthesized that way rather than a phaser effect.

Yes, might be a synthesizer filter, I thought it was an old hardware phaser. In the old days there was (simple!) vst called "filterizer" by analog industries, that was quite good. But 32 bit only.
