The dev keeps seperate builds on his page and on PB, so if you buy from PB you always have to download it from there. At least that is what he told me. The PB version seems to be 2.0 whareas the version on the dev page is one increment ahead. The whole thing is slightly strange.

Just checked an both downloads are built on the same date.
Protection is a keyfile so should work on both versions.

I caved as I has some virtual cash left over to make this even cheaper.

Makes a nice mulitband analyser at the very least

Im on Win10 64 bit and like the Mac user above it wont authorise.

I tried versions from PB and direct from audioD3CK.
Installed as admin, ran the standalone as admin and ran my host as admin.
No luck so Ive messaged the Dev

The main difference is the Q behavior.

E = Constant Q.
G = Variable Q, it varies dynamically based on how much gain you are using.

Also, E has some bell curves which the G lacks.

The answer to if you need it: Try the demo and see if you like the sound of its variable Q behavior.

By the way, I don't like the Waves SSL E / G anyway. They're very old, and they've got cramping issues in the high frequencies. Check out the newly released Brainworx bx_console E for a very living, 3-dimensional emulation which properly takes into account all channel behaviors.
