I believe you, I wouldn't have reason to think you'd make that up. Sounds like you are being screwed (not intentionally of course) but sounds like an anomaly. You should just contact the IK team. My experience with support with them has been positive.dbender wrote:Your post gave me hope but I'm not so lucky.AC222 wrote:I upgraded from the Custom Shop application itself. It was only 50 IK credits and I had an abundance of leftover credits. Great deal imo.
I want to upgrade within Custom Shop using my Grear Credits, but it doesn't offer that option. Only $99/100 Credits. This is so even though Custom Shop shows me owning SVX already as shown in this screenshot from Custom Shop —
Ampeg SVX 2 for AmpliTube now available

Still not working here and no news from support after more than 24 hours. Any idea when this will be resolved Peter ?

So I was hoping to upgrade from SVX but, similar to others, did not have that option from Custom Shop or their web site. I raised a ticket & received a reply within hours (quick work IK!) which says only full versions are eligible.
"Only full purchased versions qualify for the upgrade version, if it was received via a promotion or in a MAX bundle, it does not qualify for the upgrade. Please visit your User Area > Crossgrade/Upgrade to view if you qualify."
My original purchase was back in 2009 so I'm going to have to explore my legacy email app to find purchase emails to confirm but its highly likely I would have purchased as part of an IK promotion.

Ah, thanks for posting that. I guess they should make that far more clear - plenty of us seemingly eligable owners of SVX that don't meet that criteria that they never bothered to mention. Doesn't leave a great taste.don1thedon wrote:"Only full purchased versions qualify for the upgrade version, if it was received via a promotion or in a MAX bundle, it does not qualify for the upgrade. Ah well. As it is, I'll wait for a sale down the line. Life goes on.

If you got it free within a promotion I could understand, but just buying at a promotional price shouldn't disqualify you. Please (and I mean this for anybody having issues or confusion about upgrading) hang tight and I ask for your patience for a short bit since I'm sure we'll be clarifying this very soon and I know there is the possibility of very good news on this front and will share that with you - at least some clarification as a worst case, and great news as best case - as soon as I have more information. Thanks!don1thedon wrote:So I was hoping to upgrade from SVX but, similar to others, did not have that option from Custom Shop or their web site. I used the contact support form on the IK website, I selected "online sales" as my issue and it didn't generate a ticket number.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:What is your ticket number? Ah, in that case you don't get entered into the tech support queue. I hope I posted the correct link, I wanted people to use http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/ so I'll make sure I posted that one and edit where necessary if I did not do so.triggerthehorizon wrote:I used the contact support form on the IK website, I selected "online sales" as my issue and it didn't generate a ticket number.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:What is your ticket number? You can PM me the email address you used (the one you enter where we can get back to you) on that form and I'll have someone take a look, though. This should all be sorted (and I believe in a very positive way for many) tomorrow though.

Really digging the sounds of the new amps and the 8x10! Just some question... Demoing Ampeg SVX2 through Amplitube 4 I am unable to move mics around, change cabs etc. I Keep getting the splash screen to purchase A4.
If I buy Ampeg SVX2 complete how does it work in A4? An I able to move mics, change rooms etc?

Cab Room (which includes moveable mics in 3D space) is part of the full paid version of AmpliTube 4.CJG007 wrote:Really digging the sounds of the new amps and the 8x10! Just some question... Mmmmm interesting. The IK Ampeg SVX2 intro video clearly shows the mics being moved. Which is wholly misleading then. Because in order to have that option the buyer of Ampeg SVX2 has to also buy Amplitude 4 or he/she doesn't have that option.

Haha I know that, but it's not the point really... The narrater should have said "oh by the way, you see I am moving the mics here in this GUI? just want to point out if you purchase SVX 2 you won't be able to do this. You will need to purchase Amplitube 4, to do this. But don't worry, there is a work around if you use the free Amplitube 4, you just don't get the nice GUI I'm using here in my video here on Ampeg SVX2!"
Anyhow, no harm no foul for me, only buying the SVT VR Amp and the 8x10, they sound absolutely killer together! Probably the best virtual bass rig I have and I got many!
