Hi everyone, Waveform 8.2.5 is now available from your downloads area: https://marketplace.tracktion.com/shop/ ... notes/?v=8
8.2.5
- Added the Roli Equator plugin search paths by default on Windows
- Fixed an issue with some locale settings on Linux that could cause high RAM usage and incorrect loading of plugins

8.2.4
- Fixed a problem showing plugin windows if more than one tab is open for an Edit
- Fixed a crash that could occur if dragging the transport cursor on a clip that goes outside the view area

Post

Just installed Beta 8.2.5, and the problem I had, after very brief testing, Seems to have been rectified somehow.

(8.2.3 "Strange behaviour of midi clips, selecting clip, then trying to double click to expand makes the clips jump all over the place!
Just trying to select clip is difficult. it jumps up a track, and forwards and backwards in a flickering manner. However using Hide /Show midi clip seems to work ok.
On the positive side, deleting all clips except for drum, randomize selected velocities works a treat and just as I'd hoped.
cheers.
Wee clip to hopefully show you what I mean.

This one is fixed, thx...

Nevertheless, the midi editor still looses keyboard focus, when it is attached to the main window... if detached it works fine...

But there is a bad behaviour when detached:

- Open a midi clip in an detached midi editor window
- Make the midi editor window quite big, that it takes nearly the whole screen space
- Now "Edit groove templates..." from the "Grooves menu...
- Try to bring the groove edit window in front...

Impossible here on my side...
The only possibility I found here, was to rightclick the Groove Editor entry in the windows taskbar and choose "Close window"...
The Groove editor window should open on top of the detached Midi Editor but here the Midi editor window is the top most...

Perhaps you can have a look as well on the "Duplicate" command and group clips, since group clips cannot be looped neither, duplicating is the fastest alternative (afaik)...

confirmed!
Grove Editor is always behind MIDI Editor window and if you move MIDI editor window away you can see and use Grove Editor :D

Possible Bug.
Only tried audio: render selected clips and replace, does not seem to be working for me, can anyone confirm, thanks

Yes, fixed! German users should be happy now :D

But I observe yet another issue. When plug-in GUI is opened, for short time it is displayed as a tiny window. It is barely visible when the top left corner is over dark region, f.e. over the browsers, but once moved over colored clips, it can be easily noticed on every plug-in open. By itself that is not critical, but:

a) sometimes it stay that small! On the picture is "#TBus Compressor", so that can not be explained by "buggy third party plug-ins"...

b) Airwave wrapper always show only that part of the GUI, even after real window is enlarged (I have not installed wine patched mentioned on airwave site, so I do not know if that can be a workaround)

Note that 8.1.16 nor T6 have that effect, so that is 8.2 specific.

Observed on Ubuntu 16.04 with the latest updates.

Is there somebody out there listening???

If so shout: Here I am!!! :D

I can confirm that opening the mixer, tracks and plugins on each with it's own monitor is working. Awesome!

But Jack is still partly broken...

For me the inputs and outputs are reversed... Waveform output tries to connect to a jack output and to me, an output should send a signal in an input... Usually...

Also when i select 'None', the output/inputs go away from jack ???
If this is normal, why not add an 'Empty' one where it just create the ports in jack but allows jack patchbay do the connections instead.

Since 8.2.3 thread has manage to be on top of this one, I have decided to bump ;)

For the topic, I can confirm that Jack in/out are reversed on my system as well.
