Hi Luigi and all
After having a major HD crash, due to MS updates, I re-installed XP and also all my apps and plugs including EVE. However having a problem where EVE when loading does not recogize several of the folders inside the data folder. ( such as Famous Keys and waveforms.) I also installed the update as well as the famous keys again. Can't get it to read those banks. Any suggs?
BTW: on an Win98 machine now for internet..don't trust the internet for my music comp...too much hassel to have to reload everything due to virus's. Win98 seems OK..no virus attacks !!

Ok here it is:liqih wrote:Hi Tim,

4 CDs
========================
EVE data
folders:
Aos
Ensembles
Famous keys 1
Waveforms
Electric Pianos
Organ
Eve Banks
====================
The only ones that show up when I click on the OSC window is :
Aos
Ensembles
Electric Pianos
None of the others show up.
I also clicked on the registry as instructed for the update.The presets appear to play fine however..but I have not gone all thru them yet.
One note: I did not delete the previous EVE files, but simply re-installed from the orginal ZIP. Could this be the problem?
any ideas?
BTW: looking forward to the CD's..just in time as I got my music comp fixed..but still need EVE to work properly!

that's very strange,
as start I'd say to clean the Registry from all EVE entries you may find,
open EVE 1.4, enter serial again and let the plug
write new keys to the Registry

you have to run RegEdit.exe which is in your Windows folder,
open
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DashSignature.com
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DashSynthesis.com
delete the "EVE" folders you find inside them,
that's all

Got it working now. I uninstalled and started over as well. I even put my EVE data on another ( much larger) drive, and was able to select it at startup, so now I am READY for those 4 CD's!!
LOOK OUT GUYS.. I am about to become a EVE MANIAC!!
