Hi,
i am using Ubuntu 16.04 64bit and have installed Tracktion 6.3.1
Audio works fine, i can edit and hear MP3 or Wave Files in my projects.
But i have problems to play MIDI tracks. Theres no Sound and a warning icon on every left side of midi Track.

"This Track contains MIDI-generating clips which may be inaudible as it doesn't output to a MIDI device or a plugin synthesiser. To change a track's destination, select the track and use its destination list."

If i change the Destinations ("Default Audio Output", "Default MIDI Output", "Output 1", "Output 2", "a2jmidid") in the track, has it no effect ... no sound.

i have installed an running qjackctl and a2jmidid.

Tracktion MIDI Configuration:

Disabled MIDI Through (Output)
Enabled a2jmidid (Output)
-----
Inputs: all disabled

I have no idea whats wrong - can anybody help me?

(sorry for the bad english)

You need to put some kind of soft synth plugin on the right, for the midi to actually generate sound. I don't know which plugins exist on linux, but chuck one of those on the track on the right hand side, and leave the output of the track to default audio

Do you get the FM Synth plugin on Linux? It comes bundled with the windows and mac versions. Even just chuck that over on the right to make sound for the time being.
